Keith rayne? frank myler was a great player but a shite coach. took oldham down in 87. cracking team try finished by schofield. todays teams are shite compared to the liks of him, hanley drummond goodway. :-(. Keith Rayne missed lewis mole hunting. Lewis didn't miss brian noble with a raised elbow at 46 mins. new mind eh?
Really what I see from these games is professionals (Aussies with Sydney League and State of Origin) vs non professionals (even the Brits who are semi professional) and a few at this time NZ professional players (Mark Graham and Dane Sorensen exemplified this best . Which means no real contest.
do my old ears deceive me but is there monkey chants at Hanley at his first touch of the ball? One thing you do notice is the pace of Grothe not just power. Similar to Billy Boston for pace and size, for you ockers that's real praise.
Cant complain about noble getting a good elbow off walley a min or so before that rayne smashes king walley a much better gb 🇬🇧 side than the 86 one when the kangaroos came over here pierce fine player for the aussies,great try for schooey!!!

not sure noble would agree, he was one of the fairest tacklers out there, a dog act by lewis but not called out by the one eyed sheepshaggers.
