- Real Madrid’s star forward, Gareth Bale joins Erik Anders Lang on Golf Santander in Madrid, Spain for a classic, six-hole matchplay. Gareth and Erik had just earlier recorded their EAL Podcast where Gareth talked about life as a professional footballer as well as his love for golf. It is time to take his words to the course. @no way Ofcourse it does, communication with the teammates and the staff is vital in a teamsport. 11 individuals on the pitch don't make a good team. Many players and teams still need/have translators because of yearly signings that don't master the language yet, but its standard that that player learns the language of the country he's playing in. Bale seems like a great bloke, but his motivation in Spain is horrible and imo he deserves most of the flack he's getting for that.
Anshu Dhar Real Madrid are paying him MILLIONS , it is disrespectful to the whole club if he says “wales golf Madrid” and leaves matches early demonstrating bad attitude .

He was at Spurs (who i support) no drama, just trained fitted in well with the team. No nightclubbing and all that bollocks just dedicated and a family man was a true credit and ambassador for the club. Such a shame how Madrid have treated him.

Gareth's comment about results vs how the person actually played is so true. In all sports, ppl look at stats vs the actual game far too often.

Life long Real Madrid fan here... Bale gets way too much scrutiny from the fan base. He shows up in the clutch every time the team needs him, dude can golf all he wants!

That's funny. Of course you got respect for Gareth Bale, because he hardly performs well against Barcelona, and hardly even appear the whole season. You kind of forget he is a Real Madrid player : ). Yes, he scored some important goals in finals which led to trophys. But tell me if it's not disrespectful firstly to his teammates, coach and fans. He disappear the whole season, mainly because of injury and underperforming. Not to mention what he prefers to do in his free time instead of professionally maintaining his fitness or learning the language. He disappear and expects to just magically be granted a starting place in the final. He gets angry and threatens to discuss with other clubs if he isn't granted more playing time next season, even so by saying it after full time in a final, when the club is in a mood of celebration.
Secondly, it's disrespectful to Real Madrid as an institution. Gareth Bale is like the employee that lied in his CV (not following the rules of commitment written in his transfer document for Real Madrid), the employee with the highest percentage of absence and the employee that shows up in the end, taking credit for a job that his coworkers worked their ass off in a whole year. And even so is amongst the highest payed employees, given millions for the same continuosly ''magical'' work.

He has been persecuted by the Real fans for his love of golf, they are the ficklest bunch of "fans" ever... he has countless amazing winning goals in major finals in one of the clubs most successful periods (one of many) and he is hounded ....

I fall in love with Erik's more and more. I have only been subscribed for about a week but I have watched so many of his videos. The way he communicates to his audience, the chilled music in the background all comes together over a social game of golf. Perfection.

Golf is meant to be enjoyed, and I feel like you are so happy and grateful to be out there. It’s fun to watch and reminds me to value the experience more than the score.

Why are so many Welsh so humble? Look up others such as the Welsh American George Henry Thomas! He once stated he doesn't want nothing written down about his success fighting for the North in the American civil war. He just simply stated, "I'll let history decided weather I'm worthy of being remembered". Needless to say, his rivals that weren't a patch on him didn't share his humbleness. This is why he's all but forgotten.
