I felt pity for Goumang and of course Lady Ethereal, but Ji really took me by surprise. The immortal wanting nothing but death is a very common trope nowadays, but him still fighting to protect something (though even that, he may have lied to get Yi to actually put on a fight, but I think it’s at least partly true), and because he also want to control HOW his death would happen because he’s jealous of people dying for something, not just leaving as a passive spectator. I actually feel bad for him, and I hope he’s at peace.
Definitely a much easier endgame boss compared to the Fengs but fighting Ji after them feels more narratively satisfying imo. Lore, fight and music just feels great Also i'm not sure if this still applies but i saw a player used the talisman to cancel Ji's divination part, skipping it entirely
Definitely, I feel like this one I could redo and find more ways to sneak in damage but skipping the divination part seems interesting (I'm guessing with a stagger from Enhanced Full Control). Not sure if that would be better as Ji is stationary and vulnerable during most of it.
I did the fights in that order, and it made me curious as to how much variation in dialogue there can be if you change the order of certain events. For example, after fighting the Fengs, you give Abacus the samples of the imperfect cure they were using and are unsure as to who's DNA was used to synthesise it, but if you had already fought Ji, you would already know.
@@nezzaUwU yes! you can just immediately hand over Ji's genes to Abacus if you've beaten Ji before Fengs. But as far as i know there's no unique dialogue for other stuffs
@@CrankyTemplar Its not too easy, not too hard, compared to most metroidvanias ive played, you make every boss fight look stunning though and tbh, you’re my skill goals
@@poploki4844 not really. You just need to upgrade ur stuff more. I can take several hits from this boss. Because I upgraded properly. Maybe dont talk game design if ur just bad at the game.
Can't wait to see the modding of this game
I look forward to whatever crazy stuff they come up with.
@@CrankyTemplar imagine some guy somehow mods isshin to this game

New player here, how do you get an arrow back when you use a talisman? Is it a jade or an upgrade?
It's the Enhanced Qi Blast skill, which gives an arrow charge if you use a 3 charge Qi Blast.
I love how for my favorite boss sol, his fight is also one of the most enjoyable to me
I enjoyed the boss theme for the fight although this felt like one of the easier fights in the game. Still fun to play through!
