I’m running belt for wp - crank K030267 without mods, it’s tight putting on but works.
i listened to this driving home and dont have anything significant to comment but heres a comment none the less to help the algorithym (idk how to spell that) haha
unorthdax racing makes a billet pulley for the water pump that helps your belt issues, and it helps with flow
i have seen the pulley sold by itself, but there others out there, let me do some diggin iof you want find a current source for one, i havent worked on a KA in about 15 years@@BuildSeason
non stop tuning sells the pulley for like 70+ sorry couldnt find it cheaper
Thanks for the info! I’ll check that out if my belt setup doesn’t work out.
Great video, but I am curious, how is the belt clearance now? From what I have read, it will end up too close and still rub OR your hole in the housing may be dangerously thin. Had any isses?
I haven’t had it running yet. I plan to do a video of the startup to test if the belt clearance is ok. If not I’ll use a single cam thermostat housing and a spacer.
Thanks for the reply… I’ve been on the hunt for a “spacer,” but it looks like fabricating is the only way… unless you found someone who makes that spacer?!?
@mhinkens I’m not aware of anyone who makes the spacer but there is a local machine shop I might work with. I figure just bring them the gasket and they could make one.
Hey man, do the alternator brackets specifically have to be from a 89-90 240sx or just from a KA24E? Thanks!
I remember turbocharging my KA24DE in my 1991 240SX SE back in 2005. Thing was a blast to drive at 8psi
That’s good to hear! I’m hoping to stick with 8-10 psi and just have fun with it. What turbo did you run?
@@BuildSeason it was a Cummins Holset rebuilt turbo.
@RadDadisRad that’s what I’m looking to use! An Hx 35!
@@BuildSeason I used Honda accord injectors and fuel rail and had to change my fuel rail mount. Better injectors because they aren’t side spray.
@RadDadisRad good to know. I went with three radium engineering fuel rail to switch to top feed.
