Hahahaha found your video this bitter cold Sunday afternoon and laughed pretty much the whole time. New stitcher since Feb 2023 after visiting my daughter who lives a stones throw from Barefoot Needle in Surfside. Covered in sand from the beach (living in Canada, yes I go in cold water in Feb)I insisted my hubby pull the golfcart in so that I could check it out. 40 year quilter (have all my mom's zippers) I've been frantically stitching since. I love your choices of stitches. Thanks again.

Hey there! I just found your channel with this video and am really enjoying it. May I ask a couple of questions: what is “enhanced” stitching? And how do you count your stitches??? I have trouble counting WHILE stitching and looking at the chart, I cannot imagine counting a oroject’s stitches! WOWZA!
I'm so glad you found me! Thank you for watching! I'm not sure what you mean by "enhanced" stitching. Did I use that term? Ha! Sad that I can't remember, I tend to ramble! If it's referring to how I count stitches, that I can try to clarify for you. I make a working copy of my charts. That's bc I scribble out the symbols for each stitch after I finish a thread of whatever color. I just use a pencil (some folks highlight them) and as I scribble out the symbol, I count them. I write that number down a s small 2x2 post it note that I stick on the pattern (I put the date and which project I'm working on in the corner so I can add this info to my planner later). That's how I get my actual stitch count. As for the progress tracking, I use an app called Stitch Pal. When you add a pattern, they ask for number of stitches. Well, you can really only enter how many blocks are covered with the pattern. Meaning, if the pattern is 100x100, that's 10,000 tiny blocks. And those 10,000 blocks are gridded in 10 block x10 block squares. So when I finish the stitches in one 10x10 square, I cross it off and add that to my app and it tracks that and gives me a percentage completed. But it's not actual stitches. Does that make sense? =) It's just a way for me to stay motivated while working on these projects and rotate through my WIPS. I hope this helps and doesn't add to your confusion. I'll go over it again in another video. I've touched on it a couple times, but am not sure if anyone really wanted to hear me ramble on about my weird way of tracking things. I know I enjoy hearing how folks plan out their projects, etc....but, I'm an odd duck! =)
@@pottymouthstitcher Ummm…. OCD gal here 🙋🏼♀️ and you spoke to me with that crazy nonsense about counting and organizing! 🤣. Thank You! The “enhanced” stitching you said was taught to you by Redcross Stitcher at a retreat and you had continued to use that method and it’s helping to speed up your stitching process. Could you possibly mean “stitching in hand”?
Thank you for watching!! I'm thrilled you enjoyed it! And don't worry about the plans....I always overthink things!! Sometimes are more fun than others. 😁

Thank you so much! I watched your video on storing your fabric a couple weeks ago. Just got my package from Amazon yesterday!! I love the clip/board wrap idea! Thank you for that! And thank you for watching! Happy stitching! 🪡 🧵 ❤️
I have to say that I absolutely love my new storage solution for fabric. I’m glad you found it helpful. Let’s stay in touch!❤ 🪡
Love your video! Just found you…….now I’m going to have to kit “Consider The Lillies” but everybody needs a new project on January 24, 2024 right?
Absolutely!!! It's too gorgeous not to stitch!!
@@TracyBoyle yes! Stitching in hand! I'm a pottymouth and a mush mouth!
I have to go to bed it’s 2am in oz @ I love you 1:00:56 1:00:57
Thank you for watching!! I'm thrilled you enjoyed it! And don't worry about the plans....I always overthink things!! Sometimes are more fun than others. 😁
I love your floss tubes ,but you lost me with all the plans ,we don’t do all that in Australia
I'm gonna start classifying my projects by cussing level too. Seems a useful criteria.
Real friends never look at the back of your stitching.
It very much could be a scientific scale. 😆 Thank you for watching!
