This video is a revised version of last year's video to explain how to organise your filing system and how to use the new 1703 version of the Springer LNCS Template.
Search for "Springer LNCS Template" and select a source relevant to you from the right hand column. It may take a few attempts to get the download if you want the Word template.
Not unless it is a research paper and you have obtained your own personal Orchid ID number, in which case it is very helpful to ensure that proper recognition of your authorship is maintained on various publication tracking systems like ResearchGate
So we can change the the references list as sorted and numbered but I was wondering how can I change the references within text as numbered? Is there a macro for this thing which can change the references within text according to their number in Reference list. Thank you. I must admit, this is a great tutorial.
If you look at a Harvard standard references list, you will see that the list is first sorted into alphabetical order on the authors and then for each author into ascending date sequence.
@@richardself7175 actually sir they said first sort author in order like nos. Like one authors reference and then sort them in chronological order and then select two author and then sort them according to chronological order and then multi author, that's why I asked if there is any short cut or any pre defined feature.
Absolutely not, otherwise Springer will change it back if you are publishing with them. The whole point of a template is that it is to enforce a particular standard.
Look at the top ribbons then probably next to 'Help' you will find 'Search', search for 'security', click on 'enable all macros'. Then close Word. Open it again then it should be fine
search for "Springer LNCS Template" and this will get you to the download place for authors. The Template is actually a .DOCM (Macro enabled word document) in Windows and Mac versions.
@@richardself7175 Many thanks Mr Richard for the videos. When I downloaded the word document, it does not show the springer micron automatically, How to I make it to show automatically? Thanks.

When you are using the Harvard style of citing and referencing, there are no citation numbers in the text, only in the references list.
Hi Usma,
Sorry, I am not familiar with the pplug-ins that handle formuale in Word.
