I am 80 years old and heard this song the first time when i was in my teens, though i did not get to see the film much later. Simple tune by Shanker Jaikishen snd beautifully sung by Lataji. But it is the lyrics by Shailendra that is absolutely beautuful snd simple yet heart touching.
