Great review an samples. I used my Z8 for past three weddings and it was amazing and joy to use. I was getting over 1600 shot per battery and not to mention I used for short 4k 120 fps video clips as well. So the battery isn't so bad.
It must be a great wedding shooter! What lenses are you using with it? Yes, as mentioned somewhere in the comments, we had primarily the older batteries so we expect the 'c's would perform much better.
How are you so confident when you say that the camera is also suitable for video? Would you like to be sued for not mentioning that there is no video recording for two cards at the same time, meaning that the video is without backup and if, for example, I film a 6-hour event and at the end of the event the card shows an error, then I lost an entire event?! Who exactly will pay the money that the bride and groom will sue me?
@@bnorris07 The intention is to be sued by the customer that as soon as the only card that recorded the video fails, then there won't be the wedding movie for example that he requested, and such a thing can lead to huge lawsuits
Thanks so much for the awesome review! Loving the camera so far! Was just wondering, how are you exposing for nlog? For me, I see no light meter or any waveforms in video mode (the light meter disappears). Am I doing something wrong? Appreciate any help!! Feel like I'm the only one noticing no exposure monitoring, ha!
Hey Eugene, glad you enjoyed the review! I also struggled a bit exposing N-Log but I reverted to having the view assist on and generally if it looked good on the screen it looked good in the edit. I didn't have too much time to deep dive the menu, but I'll do a little research and get back to you.
I am in awe and cannot stop smiling. :) Proud NIKON shooter to this day and long may it continue. :) Great review gents. 👍
Thank you! It's a wonderful release for Nikon!
very nice review. It's not the first I've watched, but with the action and quality, definitely one of the best. Thanks
Thanks so much Patrick!
Great review and appreciated the video and still examples. Nikon has produced a wonderful camera!
Thank you! We agree 100%

Wasn’t aware you could sue UA-camrs for not mentioning a feature in a camera? Guess you learn something new every day.

excellent review and great photos.
Thanks! The guys had a great time which makes for great photos.
Excellent photography work/samples. Well done.
Thank you! It's easy work when we enjoy the camera as much as we did.
people are getting more then 1500 shots per battery with Z8
We were shooting on a demo body with the older EN-EL15b batteries so we think that may have had an influence.
@@OrmsTV yes it’s known now that the C version gets far better battery length ! Great video guys !
Thanks Michael!

"it feels like an image is being taken" - The one quality absent from Sony camera's that have always prevented me from investing fully in their system
Keep me one Z8 Mike Ormond. As a Pensioner now I will be getting it next year
Just seems like a couple of Sony fan boys…
You mean Nikon ?
Beautiful photography to go with the review. Good information mixed with individual opinion.
Thanks so much! We're glad to hear you enjoyed it.
awesome review.
Thank you!
Nikon, just put a video tools like shutter angle, open gate and anamorphic and videographer will flock like ants
It might just be toooo much camera then!
