NO THIS IS NOT ILLEGAL, IT IS JUST A COMMAND THAT EXISTS. And yes, I know this existed across other source games, however, CS:GO did not have this because it limited "fps_max XXX" to a value of 49 or higher. Sure you could use third party that capped your fps in CS:GO but that's just too much work and more like changing the values of your game through an external software (:

TL;DR - Download the config and use the fps_max 32 when bhopping BUT make sure you are ALWAYS bhopping on FLAT GROUND.

@@suixel You can also do it with the Radeon software itself - enable Radeon Chill and set min and max FPS to 32. Tried it and it works. The downside is that you can't change FPS on the fly like you can with fps_max, since it is a driver setting.

SO0o0o0, we as players have the option to enable the "Console" if we as players abuse it then a game ban can and will be applied. trust me Overwatch bans are possible because the AI detects irregular movement

it should work if your using the binds for scrollwheel and fps_max 32 unless you have an AMD gpu. you also need to be decent at scrolling its not like autobhop

hello! do you know why my fps are locked on 64 fps and not 32 fps? I cant go any lower and i have no idea why it is happening
yea I just saw this, its because you have an AMD GPU. The sad thing is you can't do anything about it atm but I am looking for a fix. CS2 for some reason only allows AMD GPU users to use a minimum value of fps_max 64... like wtf??? A fix is trying to be found in my discord now - discord.gg/TYXav2qKHM

Just tried it and it works - you can get the consistent bhopping. The downside is that you can't change FPS on the fly with a bind like with fps_max, since it is a setting in the driver software.

@@LLNuke Yeah, I had a suspicion someone else would add 2+2. BTW, this "bug" doesn't seem to have anything to do with the movement updates you mentioned. I tried it in CS:GO as well and it works the same way. Or they did the same update in GO, which I highly doubt. Though in GO I'm pretty sure you can't limit FPS below 49 with fps_max, maybe that's why nobody figured it out until now. But with Radeon Chill it works.
Ayyy did this get patched? Every time I toggle the 32 fps bind and jump it snaps back to max frames - any one else have this issue?

@@LLNuke I actually found the fix on my end. I had to change the bind from “Max_fps 32 999” to “Max_fps 32 32”

it's funny to me cuz i wondered this back in 2015 when i started, but no, try to time the scroll only when you land. make sure your scrollwheel does like 4-6 steps every time you land @@D3lt4forc3

@@LLNuke it's still the exact same thing. you dont need to use fps_max, you can use an external program to cap fps and it still works in csgo
now i have my fps blocked to 60 fps and i cant uncap it and i have nvidia gpu

@@suntzu6122 although you can feel huge FPS drop when you use this command, i'm using third party fps counter too and it clearly shows fps so it confirms
if it doesn't work for you, amd gpu have a problem with fps max and it's explained on pinned comment
also check how to make autoexec.cfg for cs2 on youtube and copy paste my comment in cfg file

OK i have an intel cpu and a integrated graphics but my fps locks on 32fps and doesnt go down anymore...
i wont think you will get banned, player found a glitch and abusing it, it is not player fault, it is the dev and game fault and I think valve removed overwatch so I think it will be ok

You’re missing the fps_max 32, once you use that you should be good. If you are using the bind you sent + the fps max one you should be good. Scrolling does still take some skill to time

@mgnr Yea but you can’t use the direct command in the console which is way easier to do + cs2’s fault + the entire reason why CSGO patched it in the first place
