- Prime Minister Narendra Modi defended the farm laws during his reply to the debate on motion of thanks to the President’s address in the Rajya Sabha. PM Modi said that all parties have at some point accepted that there is a need for change in the agriculture sector. He said that while it is fine to question the government those parties should also explain to farmers the need for change in the rules. PM Modi also quoted former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s past remark on the need for reform in the agriculture sector to benefit farmers. Watch the full video for all the details.

Tanveer go learn these laws. It opens more access to farmers to sell their products on a large scale to big corporations. Hence more work will lead to more profit and less hassle of storing the product and keeping it safe. Farmers commit suicide due to this and this is why many farmers are supporting these laws. I support Modi and I support these laws.
And only some farmers are opposing it. And some percentage of them are paid Knalistani. They are not farmers. Just creating chaos.

They can sell goods where ever they want. We can't go to mandi coz we are small farmers and don't have money to give the people out there. Last time i remembered it took us 2 weeks to register the crop in nearest mandi after we requested our local MLA several times.
So yes rich farmers exist and we the poor are rotting our crop out of mandi for a month after requesting various MLA AND MP S.

Aur ha SC ne bhi constitutional validity ki petition ko side kar rkha hai...
agriculture state list mein aata h under constitution.
When farmer unions asked this to govt then they said that the laws are formulated under concurrent entry 33 of constitution.
Concurrent entry 33 is for trade and commerce in food stuff but farmer produces food grain. Food stuff as per constitution is processed food.
Aur kisan trade nhi krta apne crop ka but marketing karta hai... And again marketing state list mein aata hai..
Instead of judging the constitutional validity of the law, supreme court formulated a committe and intervened into policy matters which SC don't do. Petition to judge the constitutional validity of the farm law is still pending in the SC
