- Joe Robinson plays "Can't Buy Me Love" on strong sounding example of an original OM-18! This '33 is as dry as the come with great projection. The guitar has a replaced bridge (with small splice in top), a maple bridgeplate bar, and a popsicle brace that has been added. The guitar has also had a neckset and the body was oversprayed long ago.

That beautiful guitar had to wait 89 years to be played like that. Imagine it’s relief!!
Joe is my favorite player you have on the channel. Many greats, but Joe is special
Im really glad to see Joe on this channel, I cant wait to watch him blow up in the coming years. Absolutely phenomenal player.
Go Joe, best wishes from Australia
Money can't buy you talent.
Practice and more practice can do it.
Playing a great sounding guitar doesn't hurt. It looks like the action and feel, setup, are also right up there, in heaven.
What totally genius interpretation of JR…. a mind boggling combination of chops and musicality…. also great to hear him on this great sounding Martin and what he makes out of it, a welcome change to the omnipresent Matons in the Fingerstyle Guitar world of today… tipping my hat to TE
❤🎶❤ Always a great pleasure to listen to one of the best guitarists in the world playing with a guitar that sounds so good 👍 👏👏👏 Thank you Joe and Carter Vintage Guitars 🙏🙏🙏

@@alexstewart839 Thank you!
That was one of the best things I have heard. Very special guitar. even more special guitarist.
I have to go now and apologize to my guitars in case they heard that clip. Yup, they're giving me that 'why can't YOU play us like that?' look.
An ancient composition could sound very much warmer on a 30 years earlier built guitar because it wasn't knowing about of what would be coming next but this is clearly what good old guitars were built for to advance.
I just love this granny old warm sounds to have clearly an analogue comparison
Very nice playing, awsome rythm,
And Superbes Guitares Martin !
This is incredible beautiful to see my favorite guitarist with this prewar beauty.
I think I know why this 1933 sounds better than my Authentic! It is the player! That was really nice!
Awesome. That put me into a great mood; I Feel Alright - Thanks.
Joe…. come on. That was incredible.
I have watched this 20 already. Commented twice now too lol. It certainly is great!

Warm and lovely magic 🎩

Really bugs me that this guy is so relaxed about being this good. Pretend it's a little bit challenging for you!

That's one BMF guitar player! SWEET.
Wow! Beatles !
awesome!!
Question: it is unrelated to the video and song but have you ever played any guitars built by Dave Nichols of custom pearl inlay in Malone new York?
good
Sheesh
wow
YEAH!!
I'd pay a months salary for these tabs.
See Joe Robinson’s video of this arrangement on his youtube channel. There’s a link to the tabs in the description.
👏👏👏👏👏🎸
I reckon he's played that tune before! Is there some unwritten rule that says Australia has to turn out consistently great players?
Can’t but me love ….just like you can’t buy skills like that.
His cover of Misty is the best btw
All those guitars hanging on the wall literally begging to be played by Joe!
