His scream after Padme says "I'm pregnant" says so much of his pain and his regret- heartbreaking. His character was constantly in a state of self hate and regret for his choices.
I know I feel Vaders pain every day of my life. Just not always with the same intensity, but this heartbreaking experience is rooted in my distant past as well.

Canon padme wasn't able to forgive Anakin she knew he had fallen to the dark side and he wasn't the same and in the comics and books about the matter she may never lose hope in that spark of Anakin that never died but she couldn't forgive him for the actions he committed

Vader/Anakin became twisted and corrupted because of his fear to lose persons he loves. First he lost his mother because of murderous sand people and none freed her from slavery when it was possible, not the galactic Republic and not the jedi. Then Padme because through use of the dark side which made him evil. Very sad. Only in the end he felt good when he rescued his son Luke and with it a part of his beloved Padme and was redeemed

@Random Random you're forgetting she told Anakin "you're going down a path I cannot follow". While she may have still have loved him deep down and felt bad for him, she would not stick with him. She is a Rebel at heart and she always fights for what's right. To simply classify her as a character who loves her husband no matter what undermines Padme as her own character. Vader/Anakin became twisted and corrupted because of his fear to lose persons he loves. First he lost his mother because of murderous sand people and none freed her from slavery when it was possible, not the galactic Republic and not the jedi. Then Padme because through use of the dark side which made him evil. Very sad.
Only in the end he felt good when he rescued his son Luke and with it a part of his beloved Padme and was redeemed
