In your videos this year I've noticed that you play the instrumental of NMIXX songs in the background and I love that, I've noticed that many have slowly begun to appreciate the group more with the group's recent music. I hope that little by little NMIXX gains more fans, because their music is really good and elaborate. Sorry for my English.
No she always has tho.. She has amazing breath control So whenever she performs for shorter periods she kills it ❤ But she stresses herself during long ass concerts
True, I'm so happy that she's been receiving a lot of good feedback and love this year and especially since Mantra came out. She really deserves it, I'm proud of her and can't wait for her full album!
Jennie truly did great, Mantra was my most played song of the year and I can't wait for her full album! :) I saw Blackpink live x2 and Jennie delivered good live vocals both times so I already knew what she's capable of - but it was so nice seeing her getting praise this year by the kpop community AND internationally. She's been through a lot and really deserves all the love.
I was impressed by Fifty Fifty's live vocals. Gravity and SOS were my fav They all seemed confident and comfortable singing. They just released "When you say my name" and it has that Disney princess vibe with angelic and sweet voices. Really worth checking out they sang it live in some concerts before releasing the mv. I look foward to their future releases and performances
The only gripe with aespa, actually not even with them but with sm for not letting them sing live more often. Like i get not doing it often on music shows and day to day events but plz do it on award shows (mama, mma, etc) and their own concerts. Doing only have a concert live when you're literally THE aespa is absurd.
So true. I really like aespa and their beautiful voices. But it's a big challenge if they sing difficult songs. I can really understand that. But if they want to maintain the image of SM and their own group. They have to prove themselves more and more. It would be sad if they stagnate with what they have achieved. They are a very confident group and always improving. The point is, I really hope aespa can show many more live performances and that will further close the gap for haters. Also, SM should continue to encourage and allow them to appear frequently on various acoustic music shows like Begin Again or in their own(SM) way.
NMIXX where? 🔛🔝 OF COURSE. I’d like to share this: I’m a musician and dancer at my school, and I recently tried to cover Run for Roses by NMIXX. From my own experience, I realized just how difficult it is to give justice to NMIXX’s songs. As I expected, it was incredibly challenging if you don’t have the same level of breath control as NMIXX, you can’t deliver their songs the way they do. They truly keep outdoing themselves every time. NMIXX’s songs are in a league of their own. Their music isn’t just about catchy melodies it’s intricate, vocally demanding, and often layered with complex transitions that require incredible skill to execute. The fact that they prioritize live singing and maintain flawless breath control makes their performances even harder to replicate.
Jennie could be criticized for many things but for her voice? You can't deny that she has talent, she raps and sings incredibly and live she is beautiful and now she dances much better than before. She is a complete artist
She always danced well~ She’s def a lead material She’s the only one in BP that has no stressed parts while dancing unlike Chaelisa.. she’s just inconsistent
Honestly, since NMIXX came along, KPOP fans started to pay more attention to idol groups' live vocals. It's all good because many groups are improving especially on the vocal skill of their members.
seventeez carrying the bgs rn in terms of live performances. they're literally called "performance powerhouses" for a reason💕love to see them slaying on tour and headlining festivals, very well deserve.
i feel like aespa belongs in a different video like "Groups that dont sing live often bc of their company" the fat autotune pitch correcter backtrack makes it feel wrong letting aespa here but everyone sing really nice stable Karina is pretty nice but her stabillity is okay if not mid the other have very stable vocals giselle is not as good as karina but can execute vocals so well live karina gets out of tune and cracks maybe bc she is out of vocal range?
@ so yeah they sing live in their tours… meanwhile they almost never sing live anywhere else. And this isn’t something specific to a group but to the company., as you said it speaks for itself.
Great video! I love live, raw vocals so I often come to your channel to see what performances you recommend us to watch. Recommendation: Even though I know you prefer girl groups - One underrated boygroup that often delivers very good energetic live performances is MCND they are some of the very few who do dance practice videos while singing live, like Nmixx and Itzy. I heard them live in 2 concerts already so i can guarantee they sound amazing and always give their best vocally (and otherwise too) - especially Huijun and Minjae.
I absolutely agree with IVE. They have taken in the feedback and improved in vocals and performance! They focused on themselves, their music, their brand and look and just blows expectations with their songs this year! Not a fan of them but big respect for their growth 😊
Im sorry but æspa has STRONG AND BEAUTIFUL vocals. Idk why their company doesn’t let them sing live more often. Something I want to add is, when you have a group more than 4 members, you have more time to rest singing.
your videos have finally convinced me to take vocal lessons! I'm self-taught on most of my instruments, and I think I'd convinced myself that I could improve my vocals with just practice on my own because that's how I improved on my other instruments. But as you point out things I also struggle with in idols' vocals and explain how a proper vocal coach can help, it's finally convinced me to take advantage of the discounted private music lessons my school offers (like $400 for 14 half-hour lessons). I have a decent lower end, decent high end, and a strong mid range, but I have trouble switching between registers. Recording my voice has also illuminated me to my breath support problems and shaky vibrato.
For me it's 2NE1 rising from the ashes to give us an entire world tour 100% live. Not one song was lipped. Sure Bom's voice is heavily damaged, even still she refuses to give us anything less. Then Minzy and CL proving why they're queens by covering Bom's parts when she couldn't perform. No one's doing it like them.

I was about to get really mad when the SECOND clip you showed had severe autotune on it, but IVE was actually the only group whose showcase clips on 1theK employed this. Liz, Yujin and Leeseo are frequently fighting the backtrack for their lives though, but that performance had absolute zero unaltered live feed. Also always keep in mind that rap parts are more likely to have that actual live feed turned up. When speaking you don't have to hit any notes, which ironically would make the correction MORE audible, as the software would continuously attempt to snap the pitch to clean notes. Good on Jennie for performing all of Mantra live, but with exhausting choreos it gets very hard to exercise good breath control. P.S.: Even the queens aren't infallible. Lily got carried away and outright screamed the "hunnid" adlib, that was all sorts of off key.
16:57 I will never stop mentioning A.C.E just because of how underrated they are. as a fellow vocal appreciator, A.C.E never failed to amaze me every time they sing live. their latest comeback PINATA has really intense choreography yet the boys manage to perform it live pretty smoothly on several live stages (especially on music bank) with minimal backing track and post-production editing. it is criminal how underrated they are. they are truly one of the best groups in k-pop today and they deserve so much more love and appreciation.
Dreamcatcher mention!!!! They are usually left out of vocal videos, even though they have been singing live more than not for almost 8 years now. They do hour long concerts with no lip syncing. They are definitely deserving of attention from fans of live vocals. Thank you for including Justice :)
It's weird how so much focus is on Kpop idols who struggle with live singing while Chris Brown sings with an autotuned mic. Double standards be hitting hard nowadays, and yes I'm bringing him in since we are talking about music
I feel confused when people say this idol that idol sing so well when the backtrack also sound very loud. Like, how could they tell? Backtrack actually distract me enjoying the live performance. I prefer they just Lipsync or sing trembly with their live vocal. The unstable ness on their voice making their live more alive.
aespa's getting good since spicy era. my problem now, just a teeny tiny bit, is that i wish and hope that they can train the other 3 in the upper register :/ their belts are pretty balanced with winter > ningning > karina (in terms of quantity). but only ningning is doing these crazy ass head voices and have to do them live. i never understood when someone said armageddon is not vocal heavy.
Not to mention, she has weak stamina. She even admits that herself and with her weight loss (even if it's unintentional), I'm worried she's just going to get more tired and eventually fall sick... Lol who said Armageddon is not vocal heavy?
@@mypearlb5208 probs those who don't sing themselves, don't know how to sing or are just song listeners who don't sing along to songs fully would simply consider a song challenging or not simply basing on whether they like the song or not imo. Also, ig unless they tried singing to Armegeddon without lowering the key and with the right techniques, they wouldn't know how difficult the song can get. Armegeddon has the most riffs and runs compared to most songs released lately, or at least this year, kpop or non kpop. Also, N2's bridge part right before the drop is very difficult even for regular average singers. + the part after the 'throw it back' part too. They raised the key of the Armegeddon chorus + some newly added riffs and runs and ending off with a N2 highnote adlib. Like these notes are not easy to hit especially for regular singers that lack stamina, especially with choreography also.... The song MASSIVELY requires a good mix technique of chest and head voice.

I was hoping to see solar but ig you forgot to include her. Also, thank you for pointing out how baemon's vocals are very very overhyped, that fandom stresses me out with all their comparisons.
I'm a fan of Mamamoo too, but you shouldn't really expect to see them in these kind of videos anymore...I have accepted that too, Leave it to the younger gens😂😂
Disagree. Baemon are great in kpop terms
@@xaan7458They all have great voices tho~
It’s rare to see in kpop that all girls can sing and sing well but also shine on their own
Solar blues literally killed I can't even be mad anymore because they are being erased so badly
@@laldinpuia3333 what a shame. Wheein’s been on tour all year serving vocals, Hyejin did a busking show with THE Sohyang, and Solar’s been delivering during her encores and they get nothing 😔. And Byul’s been working overtime to be respected as vocalist! It’s the baby kpop stans’ loss. They’ll never know what they’re missing
I love dreamcatcher, the fact that they have SUPER difficult choreographies and they STILL sing live! I'd say the choreographies are almost as hard as "boy groups", which is crazy, but also PROPS TO NMIXX, THEY ARE STABLE, AND AMAZING!
Could we get a qualitative comparison of great live vocal bands from the whole array of generations? Like, i hold nmixx, kiof and mamamoo as amazing luve performers, some that can easily fill up a stage a capella, and id love to heard a thorough look at what comparatively could be the strengths and special qualities of each of those bands
Dreamcatcher slays live 🔥
NMIXX deserves being final boss. They are vocal queens! 💜👑💯
I really appreciate how hard this channel is fighting for more popularity for Nmixx.
Siyeon is CRAZY FOR THAT. also Jennie surprised me the most.she had consistently with her whole performance
In your videos this year I've noticed that you play the instrumental of NMIXX songs in the background and I love that, I've noticed that many have slowly begun to appreciate the group more with the group's recent music. I hope that little by little NMIXX gains more fans, because their music is really good and elaborate. Sorry for my English.
was lucky enough to see ive at lollapolooza and kiof on tour and their live vocals were so confident and strong i got chills!!!
Nmixx is JYP's secret weapon. Imagine them at MAMA next year
7:43 Jennie really ATE
No she always has tho..
She has amazing breath control
So whenever she performs for shorter periods she kills it ❤
But she stresses herself during long ass concerts
True, I'm so happy that she's been receiving a lot of good feedback and love this year and especially since Mantra came out. She really deserves it, I'm proud of her and can't wait for her full album!
Jennie truly did great, Mantra was my most played song of the year and I can't wait for her full album! :) I saw Blackpink live x2 and Jennie delivered good live vocals both times so I already knew what she's capable of - but it was so nice seeing her getting praise this year by the kpop community AND internationally. She's been through a lot and really deserves all the love.
I think most played was APT
I was impressed by Fifty Fifty's live vocals. Gravity and SOS were my fav
They all seemed confident and comfortable singing.
They just released "When you say my name" and it has that Disney princess vibe with angelic and sweet voices. Really worth checking out they sang it live in some concerts before releasing the mv.
I look foward to their future releases and performances
YESS ANOTHER VOCAL VIDEO i love ur vids
I was about to type a very different comment before i got to the last part lmao
NMIXX are the queens of live vocals.
The only gripe with aespa, actually not even with them but with sm for not letting them sing live more often. Like i get not doing it often on music shows and day to day events but plz do it on award shows (mama, mma, etc) and their own concerts. Doing only have a concert live when you're literally THE aespa is absurd.
So proud of IVE 💖 can't wait for their comeback in January
Jennie has always been trying to sing live. I'm proud of her improvement as a soloist. Can't wait for her full album.
As a neverland I am proud of their MAMA performance. Their vocals are better than some kpop fans think
Ikr ❤
i stopped being a casual fan after their performance because i was so impressed! they’re so cool
Im going to a nmixx fancon alone nxt yr in tokyo!! I just have the feeling im going to enjoyed it
You are so lucky!!!
An another video about singer who improved vocally would be appreciated ❤
For boy group mentions, I want to throw in A.C.E, Oneus, and ZB1.
Thanks for the Nmixx appreciation. They became my faves last year and they continue to give me reasons to Stan them! ❤
She always danced well~
She’s def a lead material
She’s the only one in BP that has no stressed parts while dancing unlike Chaelisa.. she’s just inconsistent
nmixx tiny desk concert blew my mind every time they're soooo freaking good
Honestly, since NMIXX came along, KPOP fans started to pay more attention to idol groups' live vocals. It's all good because many groups are improving especially on the vocal skill of their members.
dreamcatcher is way too underrated tbh. they are all-rounders.
Finally jennie ❤
seventeez carrying the bgs rn in terms of live performances. they're literally called "performance powerhouses" for a reason💕love to see them slaying on tour and headlining festivals, very well deserve.
i feel like aespa belongs in a different video like "Groups that dont sing live often bc of their company" the fat autotune pitch correcter backtrack makes it feel wrong letting aespa here but everyone sing really nice stable Karina is pretty nice but her stabillity is okay if not mid the other have very stable vocals giselle is not as good as karina but can execute vocals so well live karina gets out of tune and cracks maybe bc she is out of vocal range?
Mamamoo being crazy with their solo stuff this year~~ listening to their live vocal each one of them is such a blessing ❤
I hope you make one for boys too. EXO killed it with their live vocals this year too.🔥
EXOs line up has some of the best vocalist, but then again it’s SM sooo ….
@@blas_de_lezo7375"some of the" is understatement. And wath's with this "it's SM soooo"? Watch their live tours, it speaks for itself.
@ so yeah they sing live in their tours… meanwhile they almost never sing live anywhere else. And this isn’t something specific to a group but to the company., as you said it speaks for itself.
Solar's BLUES performance at the Mubank Madrid is the best by 1000 miles! Can't believe you didn't see it or didn't include it for some reason.
No 3rd gen in the video from girlgroups..
@@steffen231 Dreamcatcher and Jennie ?
It's just sad how people have started ignoring mamamoo
Dreamcatcher, Nmixx and Ateez are the best!! Love them
Also what song zb1 were singing??
Zb1 was singing the song "Take my hand"
@600miyav.t2 ty so much!!
YOUNG POSSE don't get enough credit for their live vocals as rookies.
Damn yeah they are so talented, they need more recognition !!!!!
NMIXX IS THE STANDARD! 🔥🔥🔥
13:39 was more focused on that she is dancing on the beat loll
for me only Nmixx is the live live singer here. they are transparent.
gidle are super ladies really, they are loved and admired by idols even and it’s clear why
Kpop vocals nowadays,
Best GG Nmixx
Best BG Zerobaseone
Best Improvement IVE
Im sorry but æspa has STRONG AND BEAUTIFUL vocals. Idk why their company doesn’t let them sing live more often.
Something I want to add is, when you have a group more than 4 members, you have more time to rest singing.
to me i see that as an SM strategy like making them as an exclusive thing that you have to pay to have an access to them and their vocals
no wonder SM things
NMIXX has the final boss? I can't believe it
Jennie saying thank you to the lipsyn community but she's not a part of then queen's mic is always on
your videos have finally convinced me to take vocal lessons!
Best wishes on growing your skills.
I can always count on this channel for some NMIXX love
For me it's 2NE1 rising from the ashes to give us an entire world tour 100% live. Not one song was lipped. Sure Bom's voice is heavily damaged, even still she refuses to give us anything less. Then Minzy and CL proving why they're queens by covering Bom's parts when she couldn't perform. No one's doing it like them.
2024 rookie Gyubin sings live.
SEVENTEEN MENTIONED 🗣️🗣️🙏🙏🙏
Nmixx is truly on another level. Not a single group is even close when it comes to talent
Lying. There’s a lot like æspa, red velvet, katseyes, mamamoo, g-idle, etc
@@whatwhat591but not as a whole group
@@whatwhat591 None of these groups sing live *every single performence* , while doing 100% of their choreo. And I'm saying that as a girl group stan. I know that all of them are talented, but nmixx is just way ahead!
XG's Howling inkigayo stage was so live, u could really hear the breath and Chisa and Juria's note at the end was so good!
They still had a backtrack tho..

If you can't differentiate how a shallow support singing sounds to a solid and fuller support, you'll understand.

Babymonster are solid vocalist
& one of the strongest vocal group in 5th gen
You can't deny that

only a minute in and so glad you talked about ive. they used to get so much hate for their vocals (and unfortunately like everything else) but they are really solid now!
I know they’re not top tier singers but LE SSERAFIM has definitely improved, they proved themselves with the Korean universities concerts having stable performances 🔥
Definitely the best is NMIXX
Lesserafim have biggest backtrack they proved nothing....they usef Ar liveThey even record their breathing sounds as if they were performing live, but they're not even able to act like they're not lipsyncing.
Not sure about that but I am a bit worried that they might also suffer the same thing as their senior group but then ig they don't sing live as much as their senior group so ig it's passable, idk much about the other members but ik yunjin and chaewon are good.
So happy to see IVE getting a bit more attention from you!
Not a stray but kinda expected Stray Kids to be here, at least in the honorable mentions
I'm sorry but the "Dive ver." is not fully live, is dubbed, just go hear the adlibs of yujin on the dive version and the fancams, are different, so they definetly changed some audios there (even tho I know yujin is great singing live).
I hope u included itzy and treasure but i love the video though❤
ateez opening up the boy group section iktr
I am so proud of babymonster!! They are not the best vocalists in the k-pop industry yet they do not fear to sing live every single time even in their rookie years!!!❤❤
It’s their company..
It’s in YG DNA ❤
They can be sh!tty while managing them but they fr produce gems
you are wrong bro, babymonster are very very good vocalists in the kpop industry..watch their performances in the last evaluation and their other solo guesting performances. you will see how good they are..
@@Hero-py9is they are my most fav group currently yet I know that they aren't the best, good? for sure!! But not the best, but what makes them better is their confidence!
You should do a crossover episode with Fil from Wings of Pegasus. You have the kpop knowledge he lacks and he has the tech tools and expertise with them.
Watching Fil's latest analysis of Mamamoo, I am afraid to hear what he would say. His standard for vocals is so high.
@@rosieposie5852 Wow, when I made my comment I had no idea he had done a Mamamoo video! I knew he had done a Stray Kids video a couple of months ago, and BTS in the more distant past. It was total coincidence that I brought this up now, and he did a Mamamoo video the same day!
What is the transition song between groups? It sounds like tragedy so now I'm like did a kpop group sample tragedy??
The instrument transition song is from "Come on" by NMIXX.
@xryvxctyrsyndry thank you very much 🫶
I was about to get really mad when the SECOND clip you showed had severe autotune on it, but IVE was actually the only group whose showcase clips on 1theK employed this.
Nmixx 🫶🏻✨
16:57 I will never stop mentioning A.C.E just because of how underrated they are. as a fellow vocal appreciator, A.C.E never failed to amaze me every time they sing live.
their latest comeback PINATA has really intense choreography yet the boys manage to perform it live pretty smoothly on several live stages (especially on music bank) with minimal backing track and post-production editing.
it is criminal how underrated they are. they are truly one of the best groups in k-pop today and they deserve so much more love and appreciation.
Purple kiss deserves to be mentioned
Dreamcatcher mention!!!! They are usually left out of vocal videos, even though they have been singing live more than not for almost 8 years now. They do hour long concerts with no lip syncing. They are definitely deserving of attention from fans of live vocals. Thank you for including Justice :)
NMIX is so adorable and talented group! ❤
My personal highlight was nct dream, their concert was so live and phenomenal 💚 every adlib and so many exciting note changes!!
To be fair, concert's should always be live.
they're one of the best live performers tbh. one of their bests is a performance where 2 members are missing too lol
Nmixx owns live vocals in kpop
Maybe for their fans.
Dreamcatcher absolutely owned KCon Germany. They did not come to play. Never been so proud to be an InSomnia
aespa's getting good since spicy era. my problem now, just a teeny tiny bit, is that i wish and hope that they can train the other 3 in the upper register :/ their belts are pretty balanced with winter > ningning > karina (in terms of quantity). but only ningning is doing these crazy ass head voices and have to do them live. i never understood when someone said armageddon is not vocal heavy.
