Great catch and awesome video, one of your best yet! That intro is impressive, weird angles and of course Elizabeth. Well done both for stepping it up big time. Looking forward to following you some more
OMG! that slipper lobster would of been in the pot. Can't believe how shallow y'all are picking, it's paradise. Love to see the family together. Great video.
Great day of lobstering guys, eel, conch, calamari, and that little guy that wouldn't let go of Capt. Dan's hand..haha..That third lung is the ticket, for sure...Excellent video Capt. Dan and Elizabeth, beautiful catch and cook, gotta love the surf and turf..Take care, from the mainland..Later.

Good afternoon! Very good video Congratulations Fisherman! Have a great week. Hugs and good *Fishing!* 👍🎣🐠🐟
👍 Great video! I really appreciate how detailed, and cognizant you are of the rules and regulations. You all are the consummate sportsman!! Thank you!! 🙏
Boy Dan looks like you guys had a wonderful day of lobstering, I sure do miss those days but I'll do it again some day I hope. And the eating part looked even better,my compliments to the cook. Thanks Bill Alloway
I've been watching you all with Heiko for the past few months, and am sorry I waited to subscribe to your channel. We just got done with scalloping season up here in Tampa Bay Area, and my wife and I loved it. Do you all have a favorite month for catching lobster aside from mini season? We like to hit the keys in the slower months.
Thanks so much for coming over and Subscribing!! As for lobstering, we like October - the water is a little cooler, but not too cold and the lobsters seem to be on the move then!! -Elizabeth & Capt. Dan
Thanks for sharing you bug adventure, My truck is in the shop and we live 6 hours away from the middle keys. Maby next year we will reserve a place on water with wet slip and spend the week. good job with the recording.
We use lobster snares!! Here is a direct affiliate link to Amazon, where we bought them. amzn.to/2SCRaZG Hope you have as much luck with them as we do!! All our favorite gear can be found on our website: floridafishingcouple.com/our-gear ! Thanks for watching, and your questions! :-D - Elizabeth
Glad to see you too, Captain!! You had the FIRST comment!! We really appreciate you watching AND your comments!! We will have another video out later this week as well!! -E
Good job guys, awesome video. I'll be flying into Marathon this Thursday to fish my boat out of Snake Creek Marina in Islamorada for a couple days. I had D&D Custom Rods build me some bent butts and I cant wait to break them in. Save some mahi for me
Great video guys! Just got back from our trip to the keys for those bugs didn’t catch as many as you guys did though! Maybe next year we can tag along with you! Anyways keep the context coming! -Isaac
We lived on the west coast of Florida for a few years and finally got tired of the red tide and having to go offshore 20 miles to get into any offshore fishing. Love it here and haven’t looked back. -D
Florida Fishing Couple Yeah it can be a chore to get offshore... haha that rhymed. Anyways yeah I would like to become an FWC officer down there and keep our Florida waters safe!
Florida Fishing Couple That’s the goal! Got stopped on closing mini season twice. First experience was super nice and friendly. Got a couple warnings for the lack of some stuff. Same night we got stopped again and the guy was a jerk. Told us that he was gunna talk to the other officers and speak to the head of department for not giving us tickets for our broken regulations. Two kinds of people.
Think it would help if you used a little bit of weight to get down even in shallow water . Less struggling to get down and stay down , especially free diving .
MORE WEIGHT?!? I'm trying to lose weight - not gain it!! ….just kidding! You're right!! I had a weight belt in the boat, but I was so anxious to get in the water after keeping watch all morning, I completely forgot!!! The weight belt is MUCH NEEDED with the free diving! Thanks for the suggestion and the comment!! -E
Florida Fishing Couple love the extended underwater action to highlight the lobstering technique . Most videos cut this short . Was the camera mounted ?
I know, you are right. I simply forgot to keep the knuckles. We made a great lobster bisque last year from the knuckles. Won’t make the mistake of throwing them out next time. -D
Good deal. I love the knuckles almost as much as the tails. I grew up going to the Keys every summer for lobster season. We always stayed at Big Pine Key Fishing Lodge. I love the Keys and want to move there SOOOOOO bad. It just isn't in the cards right now. I hope to move there within the next 5 years though. Just have to come up with a plan, get myself down there and find some work. So keep going with the great videos, I am living vicariously through you guys and Heiko.
Florida Fishing Couple plus if you get a new subscriber and you have the standard opener or closer it gets old watching them over and over watching past episodes.

Nice job! My mouth was watering so bad, I shorted out my iPad! I think my Grady needs a trip south.
We need to get you a new iPad! -D
Steak and lobster!! Mmmmmm!!
Hi Elizabeth and Dan - great catch 👍 - how many lobsters per person is it allowed to catch?
Fritz Diedrichsen: We are allowed 6 per person per day for both the regular season as well as the regular season. That’s a lot of lobster!! -D

James Wright: Sorry about your truck James. These days I spend more time maintaining my boat than my truck. I think you know why! 😉 -D
What tool did you use to catch the lobster and where dis you order it from?

Loved the intro great day on the water looked like a great day. Some great eating.
Thanks Richard!! It was a GREAT day -- and delicious!! -E
Wow, you threw away the head without taking the knuckles off that move the antennas. Some killer eating meat in them little spine covered knuckles.
I know, you are right. I simply forgot to keep the knuckles. We made a great lobster bisque last year from the knuckles. Won’t make the mistake of throwing them out next time. -D

WHERE'S AQUAMAN TO SAVE TO HELPLESS LOBSTERS!??
Love the opener. Like the fact you don't have a regular show opener.
Thanks, David!! I have been wondering if we should do a standard opening to our vids!! Thank you so much for the feedback!! -E
