The timing marks are very important; however, there is one thing that drove me nuts until I figured it out. I lined the dots up and then I figured I'd spin the engine around a few times to confirm timing. Well, what a mess. the dots never matched up again. I spun, reset, spun, reset . In my frustration I figured I'd highlight the dots with a little paint. Around, around again and then I noticed... The crank, injector gear, and cam gear did line up, it was only the idler gear that didn't line up. I was going to count teeth but I'm assuming the gear count is not divisible into the other gears and is an "odd" count. I guess this is to ensure a slow rotation of the teeth engagement to balance wear. Duh...
Might have to rebuild a kubota Aste A19, because of excessive blow by. Not much info on UA-cam, but your rebuild seems very similar to what needs doing.

Where is the location of water pump of this engine?
Hello sir! How tight have to be the bolts for the engine head? In Nm? Thank you.
Hi Ionut. I torqued the head bolts and nuts to 44Nm. I found this spec. (39.2 - 44.1Nm) online. Hope this helps and good luck with your project.
تحياتي للجميع طديقي مرحبا بك
