A wasteland is a desolate and barren place that’s unsuitable for growth, a kind of spiritual limbo, which is symbolic of the current state of mainstream Rap music. We represent the conscious and subconscious collective voice of reason inside the head of the average rapper who has
been seduced by the industry to portray a certain stereotypical image for monetary gain. In the video, we are attempting to wake them up from the spell that they're under, which is causing them to behave irrationally and contrive fantastical stories about their supposed and questionable exploits. We are like the spirits that visit Ebenezer Scrooge, with the goal of getting him/her/ they/them to change their ways before it’s too late to turn back. Scott Sandonato filmed the video and co-directed it with XL The Beast and creative input from Smartbombmusic (Dr.Whooligan and Rock The Wolf). Johnny Slash produced the track and The Archetype engineered it. The track features XL the Beast and Big Shug.
