The 1794 Flowing Hair Dollar, PCGS / CAC Specimen-66 will bring a hammer price of $12,500,000, or $14,687,500 with the Buyer’s Fee. This is going to come as a pleasant surprise to many in the hobby / business, since the very highest-echelon trophy coins have generally performed very poorly over the last 10 to 12 years, with many having lost significant value. The sale of this coin will be an outlier as far as the million dollar category is concerned. However, we’ll just have to wait and see. I could be completely wrong !!! Thanks, Charles

All the coins were absolutely stunning! The 1883 trade dollar has mesmerizing toning.
A recommendation for your upcoming Lincoln cent error variety is to possibly include the 1946-S inverted "S" mintmark on the Ball Serif style. I found one in mint state condition while coin role hunting. Lincoln Cent Resource notes that this is an extremely rare coin. However I've only seen one or two videos highlighting this Lincoln cent.

Well, I was obviously wrong regarding the 1794 Flowing Hair Dollar, PCGS / CAC Specimen-66. And the 1804 Class I Draped Bust Dollar, PCGS / CAC Proof-65, didn't receive a Bid at or above the reserve, either. Many of these expensive coins priced above $100,000 did rather poorly in the sale, with some selling 20%, 30%, even 40% below the estimates. There are several reasons why very expensive coins have not done well as ”investments” over the last decade or more. However, I don't wish to address that topic at this time.

No surprise here but damn you were off by a mile. Your such a expert that I expected you to at least come within 3 million dollars on the price 😂😂😂

How much did the affordable trade dollar end up going for?
