- Cascade and feedforward control are two strategies to reject disturbances as additions to standard feedback control. This introduction gives suggestions on when to apply cascade control and some of the limitations. The setpoint from the primary (master) controller is used to drive the secondary controller.
Excellent video. Thanks for sharing.
guess who's passing her exam tomorrow :) thanks!
+Victoria Ahmadi, I'm glad that the video helped!
I have one question pls reply
When Cascade control will give improved performance than conventional feedback control..
Cascade or feedforward control generally improves the performance when you can directly measure a disturbance and take immediate action to reject that disturbance versus wait for the disturbance to affect the primary control loop PV. Here is additional information: apmonitor.com/pdc/index.php/Main/CascadeControl and apmonitor.com/pdc/index.php/Main/FeedforwardControl
Thank you!
How to determine the controller action in this cascade. Thanks
You can simulate the controller such as shown here: apmonitor.com/pdc/index.php/Main/FeedforwardCascadeControl

he did not want to say the word SLAVE
"Primary" and "Secondary" are commonly used in practice and are good alternatives for "Master" and "Slave" controller, especially when "Master", "Slave" have a negative history outside of process control.
@@apm i figured it was because of that . i also find it weird saying the word slave when i see it in this type of work
