I really like Norms interviews. I'm impressed how he comes up with interesting questions both for the viewer and the for the person being interviewed. Also that automata looks amazing.
A very interesting video. More like this please. Norm is an exeptional interviewer. He asks an intelligent, pertinent question, and then just politely listens.. No ego at all, just a genuine interest. Very refreshing. Thank you to at all at tested, you're a lovely group of people.
I went to a Krampus festival in Austria this weekend just gone. The outfits and masks in particular are incredible, and the coolest thing is that each participant makes a new mask from scratch every year.
I always love how fascinated Norm is by all the different things Tested covers. Makes me interested in things I never would have checked out otherwise. :)
What a great work...it definitely has that classic oldchool feeling...even that devil is like taken straight from old folklore. I love it...and it is interesting to hear about Sam's creative process behind it. Also is it Bill Doran in the background?
ChrizRockster I meant make one from scratch. I believe I could, if I didn't already have a time-consuming hobby. I could buy one of hers to show support, I guess. Well that, and it would also look badass.
Very cool! I was hoping for a more intricate movement from the Krampus automata, but that's just me. Nice to see people are still doing this sort of "hands-on" stuff. JW3HH
Gorgeous stuff. Although she's not into 3D printing, I'd like to see what she would be able to do if she would at least plan her mechanisms in 3D, then print or laser cut different cogs and levers and all that. Is she related to Ron Cobb?
That is Bill, and his doppelganger (Frank) on the couch, and yet, there's Bill's twin brother (which is not there). But that just makes me wonder if they are not a bunch of casts from a same mold... Life.

I'm very glad that Automatons get some exposure thru this channel.
Google disagrees with you, and so do I:
au·tom·a·ton
noun
plural noun: automatons
apparently, wikipedia allows both as valid plural versions:
An automaton (pronunciation: /ɔːˈtɒmətən/)(plural: automata or automatons)
automata sounds like something with tomatoes in it.... soupe au tomata...
Why are you replying to yourself?
+Crispy Bacon I dunno, why is he?
this was awesome. you guys should do another one of her kits
A finished crampus is 400 dollars. Not bad, considering how beautiful it is.

I love automata. these are some brilliant pieces!
wow thats awesome, and I really want to see the pendulum project that she mentioned
The sculptures are amazing!
I would love to make one of these, but I am probably too lazy to see it through.
You can buy them painted and complete from Sam as well, via her Web Site. Not everybody has to be a master model maker to enjoy her work.

Oh Shit, I just saw WHO at 4:37
I love how they only show 1 scupture. because who wants to see the rest, right?
maoristereo well we saw three so..
А ще мені сподобалась її зачіска. І взагалі вона гарнюля!
5:53 Norm had a nerdgasm.
Automata - apart from moving, should tell a story, or give a message. Or make someone's emotions moved
Sam is a beautiful person. I loved her on face off...
Interesting that we have learnt so little I three hundred years.
i have to make an automa for school
maybe im skeptical with this, by her works, i think she has related tattoos underneath her jackets. just saying...:)
This looks like some childrens toy compared to old automatons
Wow, my view number literally says 1
W00t! A lady automata maker!
These are cool. To bad car designers couldn't use this ladies logic when building cars. Ifbits to hard to fix it, change the design
Tiny puppy!
The International Cheese Eater after I saw this comment the puppy is all I focused on.
I always pronounced it auto-mata, oops!
Not as magical as I assumed it would be. The chubby girl is cute thou.
