I never fit in sizes based on size charts. This summer I ordered size 10 shorts (based on a size chart). When they arrived I could pull them up over my hips (I'm more of a pear shape) without opening the zipper. I returned them and got a size 8 which was also too big. I ended up in a size 4. I'm 5'3" and 155 pounds. I am not a size four. Sheesh.
Haha! These companies waste so much of our time with these different size charts. You’d think they would be more accurate or consistent, so they could save on cost of exchanges and returns.
@@UnfilteredOverFifty Many years ago I had a roommate that was a designer with Baby Gap. The Gap company used "fit models." They had clothes made, 18 months in advance, and shipped back to corporate in San Francisco, to be tried on by "fit models" which were folks that fit the measurements for each size. Those folks would walk around, squat, shrug their, shoulders, wave their arms, try the pockets and assess the fit, hence the name fit models. IDK if they still do it, but it was a big time commitment however, if you ordered a size 10 in Gap clothes year after year, and your size stayed the same, you were guaranteed that they would actually fit you! Sorry for the dissertation LOL! But to your point, just sticking to the dimensions in their size charts would be a huge improvement!
Its a shot in the dark.. I wear a 12 in some brands, a 14 and 16 , even in others. Nothing I have found fits the exactly the same pending who the maker is, it's so hard to try and find the right size across the board from different brands. I do both Stitch Fix and Wantable, I request large tops and size 14 jeans as an average.. some work and some don't.
Thanks so much for sharing. I thought I was seriously messing up measuring myself and had thoughts that my stylist must think I’m stupid (I know that’s irrational). I’ll stop worrying so much and just go with the flow! I appreciate you!
Thank you so much for the feedback! I changed my bottom size in the style profiles to a Size 12. I kept size for tops & dresses to Size 14. I think you are right that Size 12 is my bottom size, and I think Size 14 is correct for me up top. I think . . . And I think I was wearing shape wear when I tried on the clothes. Ha ha. Thanks for watching my video and for commenting.

I think the gray pants may be a bit too big.
Thanks Tiffany! You were spot on about size 14s being too big and sticking with size 12. I have to get over trying to hide my belly!
I don’t think you are a size 14 I’m bigger than you and am a 14. Size 12 is more your size I think. I would maybe try some control underwear.
