Interesting. I was told the clothes have the backs slit to place on top of the body and tucked in. Your way, to me, is much better and allows a more finished and proper job.

It won't. I thought that it will but it didn't 🙂
So...are you an embalmer/mortician? I just now stumbled across this channel and this is the 3rd long video I've watched and I'm fascinated. I love very macabre things, so this fits lol. But I see other videos about fixing washing machines and stuff, so I'm confused? Lol but I love it! What do you do? And where do you live? Love your videos so far! 🖤
I do a lot of stuff in general but I work with the dead for a living. Confusion is the right reaction, looking at my stuff. Thanks for watching 🙂
I was told that the clothes are cut up the back and then slipped on the front. Doe to rigor? Also no shoes put on. Just different styles of preping? You do such an awesome job!!! Great work
You can break rigor mortis by exercising the limbs. I never cut the clothes unless they are to small and there's no time to buy new ones.
Do you not use a dignity cloth on the body when you take it from the body bag and how do you close the moth. I am assuming the body was not embalmed.
What's a dignity cloth?
@@MartinsGraveyard Always keep the genital area covered with a towel. It just plain respect to the deceased. I guess maybe I was referring more to while the body was being embalmed.
@londonkyguy Oh I get it. When I'm embalming I go through the femoral artery and need to monitor for leakage so the cloth would be obscuring the view.
Thanks allot but im afraid in my calture grany don't do this or that 😮
What do you do if the body is very heavy and you can’t roll it as well as you can with the lighter ones?
I call backup. Did this recently as the woman was 140 kg.
Does the family provide the underwear or the mortuary?
Family. The diaper is on me.
After all this fixing them up, how do you get them in the casket without undoing what you just did?
It always gets undone a bit anyway so I make final adjustments one more time while the body is in the casket. So basically, I'm doing the same thing twice.
Lovely presentation of how to dress a dead person, the best seen so far, thank you.
Thank you for showing how it's done. It was interesting.
Once this is done could a body be kept at home?
It could for one day maybe but that tradition faded with current generation.
What about embalming the body first? Or was this already done?
We don't embalm. We do but it's like one in a thousand bodies so it doesn't even count.
@@MartinsGraveyard No wonder you try to prevent purge. Yuck.
What you do to the mouth when it is open
Thank You for Sharing that great video. From Tulsa Oklahoma GOD BLESSED YOU AND YOUR FAMILY'AND FRIENDS.
So this has been bothering me ever since my brother passed away in May 2017 . My mom and grandma made my brothers funeral arrangements and everything my mom told me she never took clothes to the funeral home for him . What would they have put on him do they have extra clothes there in a case like that ?
They have clothes or go buy them if the client doesn't provide them.
@@MartinsGraveyard Ok thank you so very much for replying back . That really sets my mind at ease knowing that my brother wasn’t buried with no clothes. I am glad they provide clothing.
In the video the mouth was left open. How do you close the mouth for viewing?
There's a whole video about it on my channel.
DO YOU PUT ON A GRIDDLE AND NYLONS A FEMALE.
I never thought shoes would be on the deceased feet I guess because I’m only always seeing half of the casket open
We have caskets with the lid completely detachable. Those with hinges and the lid split into two we call the American and they are not used often in here.
Very interesting. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
How do you use the trocar for the abdominal cavity work? Too much is being left out.
I'm not sure when the next time is I'll be dressing a dead person but it was very interesting. Lifting them out of the trunk is tough too.
Do you have to sew the lips together?
Not always. I only do it when the mandible is very loose, mostly with skinny old people.
Thanks for your professional work.
I had to dress quite a few that passed when I worked in the nursing homes it can be a challege
Educational and fun to watch you demonstrate, thank you 🙏
Man I am a First Time Viewer I Guess ever Mortician Does things Differently But u made it look so Easy Great Video.
