so we conclude that the camera wins over the photographer ?? because her pictures are better in composition and quality . or because she is actually a pro photographer ??
You forgot to use the 2-10s self timer. To get it to focus, use a flashlight from your smartphone where you want to focus. Then remove the light from the shot before it fires, or do it in post.
Reckon one of these would be sick to use the oldest E-mount camera (I believe the NEX) and the best sigma lens, against the newest E-mount camera with the oldest kit lens?
The car should have been moving at 150kph around a proper race track at night. Then you both take photos of the moving vehicle. I'm guessing that new Cannon can shoot about 30 FPS raw, with extremely fast auto focus, whereas that nikoncoolpix would just melt. The experience matters, but the gear matters more.
The guys doing the B rolls are cooking. By the way I feel like Mike was trying to create a nice images as a whole, but the pictures weren't weighted on the car, while Hayley was photographing the car itself actually.
I have both of these cameras and I love both of them I have gotten really cool underwater pics on both. you took an underwater camera with a small sensor and put it in the dark and shot cars. Not hating, but don't judge a fish on its ability to fly. if you want to judge a bad camera at least put it in its element and let it have a fighting chance.
@sidbrun_ I mean I don't think so, I though it was supposed to be like pro camera with amateur shooter and pro shooter with amateur camera. Not pro shooter with wrong camera, if he wanted to sell this more just get any other of the coolpix point and shoots, like the L26 or S6300, a point and shoot made for an amateur and not just a wrong use for it. I could be wrong, because he also used a commercial fashion photographer as the amateur.
I was expecting better photos from the R5 but the lens she used did not help her a lot... too much grain on every shot! She needed a prime. Pretty cool vid. Cheers!
Awesome idea! It's actually in the works for later this year, I'm planning on hosting a photo competition later this year and the winner will be flown out and join me for a week's travel around my city plus one of these videos 😁
Very nice video, but a comparison at night seems to be not a good choice for me. Of course a cheap equipment has huge disadvantages in such an environment. I think it would be a good idea to take a more "common" environment, speaking with daylight. That would be a better comparison I think. But still a nice video.
Would be fun if there was a third person shooting too. Two new to the art. One shooting with the proffesionell camera and one with the consumer level one. Or two ordinary people, that don't use camera that often. I think that would be an interesting thing and take out even more the feeling. Does a expensive camera matter? For those who don't work with it.
Both are pros 🌟 professional photographer with extensive experience can often produce better results with mid-range gear than an amateur can with high-end equipment. Knowledge of composition, lighting, and post-processing are crucial skills that can outweigh the advantages of expensive gear.Gear however High-end camera gear often offers better image quality, more features, and greater durability. This can be important in challenging shooting conditions or for specific types of photography (e.g., sports, wildlife, low-light situations).
Issues with this is, she wasn't really an amateur, she is already a photographer with knowledge, just a different type of photographer. Would've been interesting to see someone with no photography knowledge at all.
As an amateur, I don't spend 15 minutes on a photo, it's max a minute. I don't position my subjects and I shoot something interesting as I see and usually don't go off more than 10m off my way to click.
