I can also testify to when I was not a Muslim and first heard about Islam I physically felt something even if I wasn't mentally into it at that time. Now I know its the fitra that was awakening, so let us keep on always giving dawah because we don't know how the truth is resonating with that person even if they are not openly or willingly so into it

Body language says and influence on situation a lot, that's why we as a Muslims shouldn't walk, talk and sit in an arrogant "I own the space" manner, sometimes you can just scare of your guests with such behavior, that's why I'm happy that the host in green jacket take over the interview, I wish he could hosted till the end.
One of the beautiful and good signs of the Muslims is being humble (like the guest who showed humbleness even with his background of fame and wealthiness)
I am sure the host is still learning. But some strong tips to make it successful would be to not preach to guests and let them talk instead.
I couldn't agree more with this statement! The host appears to be enforcing his views and that's why I could see Alfie didn't agree with all he says. It bothers me when people enforce views on sexuality! Irrespective of what is written...love is love. The Imam had to take over I think. Alfie,wow amazing, interesting guy. Like all religion - often things written were reflective of the times... we have moved on...the Koran has to evolve and that's through the modern generations. Also the Koran mentions no silk or gold, when clearly the Sheikhs of Middle East didn't get the brief!! In other words this is ways of being and people can determine what's right for them, not what others expect or tell you to do.
I agree with you and I was thinking about it throughout the interview. I think he could benefit more from being humble, calmer, soft. Allahu alam. May Allah guide us.

Subhannah Allah, the very first sentence that Ahki Alfie said is almost exactly the same statement that I constantly emphasise to people who newly take their shahaada i.e. "you dont realise how fantastic a step you have just taken... you really don't know yet!, but you will insha Allah and its beautiful". I only just said it a few weeks ago to a new brother from the Philipines so It brings a huge smile on my face when I hear ahki Alfie say this at the start of the video. I still feel just as excited and amazed now as when I took my shadaada in 2004, and I know EXACTLY what he means when he says that. Asalaamu alaykum and Welcome Alfie. So true, I have to say what you said is 100 percent right. Take Islam slowly and learn the right path. So much to learn and it's easy to take the Shada, but it takes time to adjust, and make it slowly, people ask you to change your name, but it is not necessary, so as I say, take it easy and slowly and all will be good. I think many people who become Muslim should marry a convert from their own country, as Islam is great but when you marry from another culture, it can make life harder, as you have to also adjust to a very very different culture. I've been happy in Islam, but I have learned 30 years on. 1. Wish I did not change the name my parents gave me, this hurt them, and now I know, I did not have to change it. 2. Got married to someone from another culture, as a woman it was harder to adjust to the culture and customs. Islam is a beautiful religion, but like everything you have many friends you make, but at the end of the day, FAMILY ARE THE ONE THAT ARE ALWAYS THERE FOR YOU. My family in Ireland has always been there for me, and I still love being a Muslim, but as I married into another culture, that was hard. Stay with moderate Muslim people and someone from your culture who is Muslim. Just advice. Wishing you the very very best.

When brother Alfie mentioned making up fasts just before next Ramazan I hope he understands he doesn't have to wait until right before the next Ramadan to make it up. As making it up the sooner the better and not understood it as it's chill just wait until a month/week or two before the next compulsory fast comes along and make it up then because tying the camel then putting your trust in Allah is what's recommended. La hawla wala qwata illa billah (There is no might or power except with Allah). Also another couple of pointers . 1. It's recommended to never single out Jum'ah for fasting and 2. not fasting during compulsory Eid days(the days of Eid during the prophets time peace and blessings be upon him). //These days people have just added on extra days of celebration which is unnecessary.
