Whenever I see a Touhou girl holding a firearm, it always feels like a downgrade to them. •́⩊•̀ Unless, of course, it's a ZUN-gun and pulling the trigger results in a spray-barrage of projectiles in various colors, forming visually pleasing patters, before murdering you. ━⩊━
Maybe firearms in touhou are used to easily emulate and study (or just "borrow"...) firing patterns from other girls? Marisa isnt exactly original with her Master Spark right? So her ....hakkero (thats what it's called?) comes in mind, though its not actually modelled after a firearm. So maybe Flandre wants to try out some different barrages, and for example loads up her handcannon with Reimu's Needle patterns x3

if anything ,using a gun ,even one as badass as alucard's Jackal is a huge nerf to flan who can casually reduce anything to dust by clenching her fist .
