Your uncle was mentioned by name in a video about that exact fire that's crazy apparently the alarm on his uniform that sounds off after a fire fighter is on the ground for too long was the first to go off and it let everyone know something was wrong inside the building
Once a firemen always a firemen. I have been in the fire service for 1 year now and love it. You are one of my brothers, Charles. Thank you for your service.
huge respect to the firefighters all over the world and the ones who are sadly lost they will always be remembered and huge respect to grandpa green who served and helped save lives.
Hey Grandpa, I am a Firefighter in my town, Brewerton Station 1. I wanted to say thank you on behalf of myself and my fellow brothers on duty for the recognition you gave to what we do. This is reassuring to us to know that we are still recognized for what we do. We will keep up the fight, the fight of fire, and the protection of life and property because we care. I am also in EMS so I like your stories about "assisting EMS". Great videos grandpa, THANKS AGAIN!
TheAngryGrandpaShow GrandpasCorner Thank you for your service Grandpa!! Just now came across this video. I myself have been a firefighter and first responder for about 2 years now. This video really affects me and makes me proud of what I do. Thanks again - Your biggest fan
thank you grandpa! this is awesome...i remember this day i wasnt a firefighter yet but it really hit me hard a couple years ago...RIP Charleston 9...you 9 will NEVER be forgotten....
Thank you grandpa for remembering the 9 than lost their lives and i do rembember this tragedy because i live in columbia and i think it is awsome that you made this video to remind us of the people that go out every day and risk it all to save lives.
Well said AGP! We don't respect our first responders enough anymore. I don't know if it's the sign of the times or a different generation? Remember when the shit hits the fan, and that day is sadly coming. These guys are going to be our first responders, They'll be the first ones to risk their lives, and to save other people's lives before their own! These people will be the only help we get till more help comes! God bless our First responders! And thank you!
Just want to tell you Angry Grandpa how much I appreciated that tour and look into your life as a firefighter. The museum is something I would have gone to myself if I was able, thank you. Up here in Maine we have road blocks occasionally and the firemen hold out boots and everyone gives what they can 25 cents or how ever many dollars they wish to get through. It helps our firemen buy equipment to save lives and keep them safe. Again thank you for this video and thank you for your service.
Hey angry grandpa it means alot for you to thank firefighters like me and others means alot. im not like the normal city fire fighter i fight forest fires and i work hard and i will always honor my fallen brothers and sisters and its glad to know i could think of as a hero but i understand a true hero is the one that never comes outta the fire so thank you so much angry grandpa
AG,...for all his bombastic clips featured here,...truly shows a soft, sentimental side in this one. Hoping and praying that all of you remember the "Charleston 9", as well as the 342 who gave their all in New York City in 2001.
A few years back the firefighters here in the UK went on strike and a lot of people said they were nothing but greedy, lazy good for nothings. I argued against those people. This video illustrates why I and others who argued the firefighters case, were 100% correct. We need to value these brave men and women.
Good video and it shows how you are a caring person love it... All my family are fire fighters all but me and when they get a call to go out you don't know if you r going to see them again love the respect you gave them keep posting videos Ag
I used to be a VFD fighter too, and they also cared more about favortism. I was 24 years old, was a "Probey" for over a year, then they make a 18 year old a "Officer" and over me in 2 months. He was simply "Liked" more.
firefighters, police and paramedics all got my respect,.they get paid like shit, overworked ,underappreciated,The Men and women that do these jobs for a living ,are a better class of person than I will ever be.
This made me really realize how much firefighters really do. Not saying I didn't have respect for them before, but this really made me have a lot more respect for them.
thank you for answering ~ just wondering if you know this is it for sure...i was under the impression that he had mail sent to a Post Office Box ~ not a street address...if your not sure , no worries...i just appreciate the fact you even answered ! thanks again, Anne
Thanks to our local firemen.. My house was saved. Fire ( meth explosion) in the house 10 feet from mine. so glad that mess is cleaned up. Aside from some broken windows the firefighters saved what would have otherwise been totally destroyed.. THANK YOU! ( see my tribute video.. a tribute to firefighters for pics of the fire).
fire happened last yr ( 2014) november 14th at 4:50 pm central time. The house next door was more or less gone so they just housed mine down to keep it from burning up too. Fire next door relit several times due to flammable chemicles.
Next time you see a FireFighter at any random time, just go up to him, shake his hand, or give him a hug, and let them know how thankful you are that they are risking their lives to save others.
@atheist psyconaut My husband just got home from shift. He read your comments and wants to clear one thing up- when the young people come on the department for the "t-shirt", it falls on the senior guys to teach them what the fire service really is. They make sure the probies know what the job is really about and train and know this job has life ending risks.
It's a sad thing when people die trying to save other people. you have to have respect for those people, soldiers, policemen, firefighters, because one day they might be saving your ass. RIP the Charleston 9
"Now it's a bunch of jackass wanna be 911 heroes," That statement is not only childish, ignorant, and generalizing all Fire Fighters, it is completely disrespectful to any 9/11 victim or family member that died.
Damn right AGP! When I was a kid I used to live near this retirement home. And at four or five o'clock one morning I woke up of the street being all packed with fire trucks and stuff. Sure enough the retirement home was on fire...and it was bad. I saw them fire fighters busting their asses to get them old timers out.
this makes me wonder.. People in his days were like a community they all knew each, they really didnt have much money but they all supported each other they were like one big family.. But nowadays there is so much ignorance and jealousy amongst us, people hate each others neighbors they become enemies with them, we people are becoming more evil
@grandpascorner you may get angry at a lot of things, at least you have a heart for the things that are important and things that need to be remembered. I know you don't do youtube for the money I appreciate youtubers like you thank you!
@atheist psyconaut remember, your father was a Probie at one time. As for the plates, there are a lot cooler plates to have in which you dont have to risk dying for. Every firefighter has heard of the "9". My husband's dept. has even had special trainings because of it. May the families also know, we will always remember
in my town i seen ladder 110 about 5 times and i was thinking about being a firefighter in my town and maybe ladder 110 might be the truck i be on when i get older
My uncle was one of the Charleston 9 firefighters his name is Michael French and thank you for remembering the heroes of Charleston
Your Uncle was a good man. I hope he rests peacefully. I know I'm late but I wanted to pay my respects in the best way I could.
Same. Respects to you and your family
Your uncle was mentioned by name in a video about that exact fire that's crazy apparently the alarm on his uniform that sounds off after a fire fighter is on the ground for too long was the first to go off and it let everyone know something was wrong inside the building
One of my mothers high school freinds, Tompson was his name.
Rip agp this is why he was such a good man who cared sure we saw him angry but on the inside he is the best person in the world to me

I never knew about this event until grandpa shared it.
I used to be a VFD fighter too, and they also cared more about favortism. I was 24 years old, was a "Probey" for over a year, then they make a 18 year old a "Officer" and over me in 2 months. He was simply "Liked" more.
the show Rescue Me was based on our firefighters dying here in Massachusetts
How is it all an act? Look at all of his videos. It is not an act. He is who he is and off camera im pretty sure hes a kindhearted man.

Intresting video Grandpa
You're joking, right? An average firefighter make around $35k a year. They're criminally underpaid.
God bless them. True heroes!

i felt obligated to finish this video.
I'm a firefighter in my community
@atheist psyconaut remember, your father was a Probie at one time. As for the plates, there are a lot cooler plates to have in which you dont have to risk dying for.
