So glad to see you post a video! I moved from 5th grade down to 3rd grade and am happy I did! My principal mentioned that we can´t have more than 17 here in NC. I am at 17 now but if it is 19, then I can get two more students. I hope you are having a great year. I am teaching math and science. I am very shocked at the number of students we have that can´t read. My LETRS training is coming in handy. I know it is because of Covid and am working hard to get them caught up. We are using IReady math which involves a lot of reading and writing that some kids are struggling with.
Awe thank you! It has been a long time coming. 3rd grade is honestly the best age! I am finding my LETRS training super helpful too. I had several more last year that couldn't read than this year, but either way, it is super informative for those struggling kiddos. I hope you have a great year as well! I think it was supposed to be 17 at this point, but because of COVID, we are behind a few years with the mandate! I am also really jealous that you have iReady. I LOVE that program. Hopefully you can skip some of the more challenging parts to just focus on the math!

You have grown SO much since I first started watching your videos (I was in the middle of my first year of teaching, and you were in your second year). YOU are the teacher UA-camr whose opinions/perspectives on teaching I take the most seriously on this platform (you and Mayleen are up there for me). Your thinking out loud in videos has improved and refined my reflecting process. If you're not already a master teacher, you are for sure on your way there.
