Hi Courtney. Life is seasonal. Some seasons are short. Some seasons are long. Many times we feel obligated to many and forget that we are first obligated to ourselves, our household and most importantly God. Don't feel bad if life is calling you to pivot now. Who knows where this may lead. Be true to you. The love and support that has flowed between your channel and supporters is real. You have a right to grow and evolve into your next stage in life. I work in mental health. I just want you to know that you are in a safe space to evolve. Think of this season as a chrysalis. If you feel compelled to continue in tumblers maybe you can express that in a tumbler. creation. You know there are endless ideas to boot. Maybe you could be silent during your videos and just create and post your cup of positivity at the end or a reflection. Maybe a cup and nail collabo. Your trajectory is up to you. ❤ You are not alone. We can all ride together on this journey. Whatever you decide, it's up to you. I just want to say thank you for sharing. ❤

Girl! I'm new to your channel, but love your sweet happy vibe! Burn out has been bringing me down over the course of a couple of years. I know how you're feeling! That is why I'm working on learning something new so I can continue to move forward. Do what makes you happy! That is #1! Maybe slow down a little on your content, and ease back in. One. Day. At. A. Time! I hope your crafty community can help build you back up soon! One of my favorite sayings is " This too shall pass" and never forget you are your most important project!

Good morning Courtney. I am probably much older than most tumbler makers...63 years old. So, my perspective is very different that those that are juggling crafting passions, raising a family and making a living doing what you enjoy. From my observation, the Internet is a double edged sword. So many creators feel like they are constantly under pressure to keep ahead of the other similar creators. And, if they have been very successful financially, it can be like a drug that adds to the stress. I have only been doing this for 3 years and I have spent this time learning from others on how to develop my skills to become marketable. Creators such as you are an inspiration for me to better myself as a maker.
So...with all that being said, my advise to you is to just do what you enjoy. Take care of yourself physically, emotionally and if your find strength from it spiritually. I come from a very different generation where our competition was up front and personal. We didn't have the international pressure of having to be "on" at all times for our audience. I worry that this current popularity of having to make yourself seen on the Internet is causing real mental health issues.
I personally have decided that at this time I will not create any content online, because I feel that it would cause my creating to become too impersonal and stressful. I would lose the joy that creating is for me. And, I would constantly compare myself to others which would probably lead to bouts of not feeling good enough. I love being in my studio and generally prefer that time versus being outside hustling. But, that is me. Having been to TumblerCon a few times and to Craftacular this last year, I came upon an interesting realization about myself, I love the small intimate groups of crafting with other similar minded people. And, at Craftacular, I had the best time because the instructors found a great balance between creating and social time. That social time was AWESOME! I really hope to do that again.
For me personally, I would happily pay for the opportunity to regularly meet with creators in small intimate groups that balanced crafting and social time. I find us women really do best when we can interact on a more intimate level.
So....who's up for offering small retreats around the US where we can just enjoy each others company?
Best of luck to you Courtney. Take your time. Find your joy. Hugs from Texas. 😁

Hello. The past couple years have been EXHAUSTING!! Life is very busy for everyone and the holidays just ended! Take a deep breath. Maybe it's time for you to do something else? Maybe as long as your being creative it doesn't matter what platform or what techniques your sharing. Keep your chin up! Pray. Give yourself some grace. Record something you absolutely LOVE!! That will jump start you! Hugs

Start a new series. You could turn some of your favorite nail designs into cups. Instead of filming from start to finish, just show us the design part. We could always refer back to older videos to watch you finishing the cups. That way you wouldn't feel the pressure of the camera "always being on" Just film small sections for us. ❤

I can not get my brain to ever be making cups with the season or what is current. I take something i seen 2 years ago and challenged myself to try to remake my style. Always be yourself and i hope to see more from you

I film everything too, and I craft a TON. I sell at local shows, so I make a lot of things. Sometimes, I am bogged down by the time crunch to prepare for a show, and I don’t film, only because I am making 8 of the same wine glass, or whatever. And I find that I miss the filming, editing and teaching aspect of what we do as content creators. It’s definitely a fine balance between creating for shows, and creating for YT. I am MORE creative when creating for YT, than when I create for shows, because I have a specific customer base, so the things I create for shows is specific to that. It’s not cookie-cutter, if that makes sense, but I don’t stray from what works, if that makes sense? Beachy, sea turtles, manatees, anything ocean related sells, so that’s what I make. But filming YT gives me HUGE creative boosts, even when I am making or trying something that I have no plans of selling at a show. I hope all of this makes sense and is helpful. Don’t stop creating!

I feel this! But in my case it is the tumblers. Not as long as your break. But from October to the beginning of January I had 40 plus orders a month! And now I can't bring my self to go out to my shed and just make them for fun or even try to take new orders. I think we always need a good break! And we can't force our selves to jump back into it. As much as we would like too! I think it will come back when we least expect it. But forcing it will make it harder! So with that said take as long as you need one day you will wake up and be ready and jump back all in! Congratulations on your added career and for a happy healthy family ❤ that's all that matters! Everything else will happen when it happens! I can't wait to see your videos "when you are really ready" ❤❤❤❤❤❤

I totally understand. I haven’t been in my craft room in months. For me it’s the selling of tumblers, the tumbler field is so over saturated. Plus people think you should sell everything for $15. I made the decision not to get into sublimation because I would rather do my own creative instead of someone else’s. So I’ve made the decision to close my business.

Sweetheart, burnout is really real and it took me 4 years, to get back out of it!!
In your case I think, it's the pressure from the expactations that you feel. The pressure of all the people, that are looking forward to the next video. They don't mean bad, probably not even knowing that it puts a lot of pressure on you.
For me the first warning sign is, when I don't have any sense of creating, doing the things that I love most!
And a kick in your behind will be the last thing, that you need. This will even put more pressure on you!
What you need to do, for yourself and nobody else, is take a step back, think about what is important to you and than think about what that does to your soul, which price you have to pay... For making others happy, satisfy the cravings of others for new content, etc. And than you have to think about, what of those things need to go (at least for a while). You are doing to much things, having not enough time to enjoy what you do. And even though you love teaching, you are not enjoy making content at the moment. My suggestion is... Than don't! Do it, if you feel like it and if you will get out one tutorial in a month, than this is, what it will be. I can see the pressure of the financial thing, too. But you can not do all the things at once and have enough time for yourself and your inner person. Talk to somebody, friend, parents, your husband... Talk about your problems and they will listen and try to help. Me for myself... I come up with solutions to my problems myself, while talking to others. Saying out loud my problems and hearing it myself... Makes such a difference. I could go on and on talking about that, because I have been doing this sh.... for some years now. And I really have to pay attention to my life, because it is easy to follow in my own footsteps and fall down again. And every time you fall... There is no getting back to the level of normal, that you previously had... It will only be one step below that level.
I have a offer for you and it's only if you would like NO PRESSURE! I have a very small chanel on here, too. There is my email address in the description. Write me, if you want to, and we will talk.
    Hopefully you get better soon.
    Greetings
    Maggy Phoenix

With your cup of positivity at the end of your tutorials uplifts me so much. I’ve not heard any tumbler maker tutorials that have given the advice that you’ve shared with your cup of positivity! My thoughts, for what it's worth. Epoxy tumblers are losing their popularity due to the rise of Stanley tumblers. I know it really hurt my tumbler sales a lot. Although I miss making tumblers and I definitely still will make some occasionally, I shifted my focus to other crafts for now. I think that helps with burnout too maybe because you're doing something different. I tried content creating on tiktok and didn't stuck with it for the same reason as you, I got tired of worrying about the camera and just wanted to create! Just make sure that whatever you're doing, that you're enjoying it. I love your videos. But you do what you need to do! One day at a time. ❤

I came in with the thought of being present in the moment of my craft yet trying to grow my little business requires more than that and I cant always do it. I believe I have been consistent yet the content I am consistently sharing isnt what the algorithm wants. Besides all that I also have other things that need my attention and well , the burn out is real.

Courtney, you were one of the first creators I stumbled upon when I started 2 years ago. You inspired me to keep working/learning/growing with my crafting. I know the feeling of burnout, I’ve been through it twice since I started. It doesn’t get easier. Sometimes shifting your focus can help recharge your batteries. And it is completely okay to take breaks for however long you need (or even stop creating content). When your channel got hacked, you worked so hard to get it back. I think that took a lot out of you. It’s so easy to say…just do it! Or pick up the pieces and put it back together and move on…but doing those things are so much harder than just saying it. Just know that you’re not alone. I don’t even have a UA-cam or create content, so I don’t have any real advice for you except to say…do what you need to bring back peace and harmony in your life and recharge those batteries. We are all behind you. ❤

I follow the page for your personality more than the content. Also if you did colabs in some way that will help cross more viewers. There’s a big group of crafter I follow and they do monthly mystery boxes and that’s how I’ve found most of them.

If you need more time, take it. Nails are bringing you joy right now (and hopefully some income) so absorb that in this moment. You are putting more pressure on yourself than is necessary. When/if you come back to YT, I hope you do it to share and teach and enjoy again. NOT because of obligation. Good to know you're ok 😊

Courtney - you be YOU. Take time to be away. Come back when you feel like it. We appreciate the time you have already given us and the ones that have been with you since the beginning will stay with you and understand. I will watch you if come once a week or if you come once a month. You do YOU and make YOU happy!

Courtney. Change is hard and sneaks up on us sometimes. To speak honestly, my favorite videos were and are your beginning videos when you were raw and just crafting to see what you could create. As you gain fame, it’s the “keeping up with the Jones” that changes the process and result of your output. I guess I’m saying that go with your awesome natural personality and disregard the feeling of peer pressure success 😉😁💓

Courtney, i really think your "dry spell" is due to the fact that your an artist...and artist need to be challenged to be at their most creative peak. I would just tell you to try a new outlet for art (nails...etc) for awhile and challenge yourself to get your juices flowing....All your real followers will be here for you...whatever avenue you choose.

Burnout is very real. In all walks of life. Just close all the doors, shut the creative world out for a month or 2 or how ever long it takes. This can lead to depression if you are not careful. You will eventually find your calling again, just don’t force it. Stop worrying about others and concentrate on you.

I have been the same way. I don't do videos like you. I do mostly FB and a little on tt. I call it that I am in a funk. My husband has been gone 5 1/2 years. It seems all of a sudden I think about him all the time. I haven't been live in at least a month. I don't have a lot of viewers but I like you, love them all. If you get that comment that is like a swift kick in the rear and gets you going again, please share it to me. Please. Love and prayers and hope you get over your slump.

People don't realize how much work goes into making content. it's not as easy as just turning on the phone.. you have to have lighting, angles, then the editing. Its pretty wild the work put into just catching the best for content

Sometimes you just need a break to get remotivated in doing what you love. Dedicate to making one video a month if you have to so that you’re not constantly recording. Don’t get me wrong I love watching your videos and they have made me start doing tumblers I just don’t have UA-cam.

It is so nice to see your beautiful face and know you are okay. Burnout is real for many jobs & content creating is hard work. You asked for advise so here is a thought... save the time spent editing and scheduling uploads by doing lives only. You have a ton of video's showing the basics, maybe lives to show the creating part. You can chat, answer a few questions while you work on a specific part . Or 3 lives a week ,like let's get started Mondays showing prep and base paint. Then we're rockin' it Wednesdays showing the the creative fun, then finish er' up Fridays doing the finish. Add a 3 minute sponsorship for a product you really believe in if needed. Bottom line is you do what is right for you & your family, whatever that that ends up looking like. God Bless.

You were the first tumbler maker I found when I started. Through you I have learned so much and found other makers to learn from as well. You inspired me. I didn’t think I could do tumblers. I understand burn out. I also struggle with depression. Sometimes I will watch your videos just to watch. When I don’t feel like doing cups.
You and your family are the most important to you. We as your audience understand when you need to step back. We will be here when or if you come back. No matter what we love you.

Totally understand. You need a break, I did too. I realized I had other things to take that needed my attention. Repainting my home, kitchen cabinets and yard work. My thought once I get that done I’ll get back on the horse. Now, to get back on that has become difficult. I can’t even come up with designs. But slowly I’m coming back. Don’t feel obligated, take your time. We love you.

You've taken some time to be you and that's okay. You can do this now. As a fellow content creator, albeit with a much smaller following, UA-cam is hard. It's hard to be at the top of your game at all times. But, I've watched plenty of your videos to know you've got this!!! 🥰
