They´re focusing in storylines and specific looks, so, they can make Flashpoint (Flash, Reverse Flash, Thomas Wayne Batman), For Tomorrow (Redeco Superman with more faces, John Stewart GL, WW), Reign of Supermen (Black suit on the way, superboy, steel, doomsday)....well, you get the idea....
I know it's a very specific look (Jim Lee), _buuuuuuuut_ ... if the ears were longer, there was a clasp on the belt buckle, the glove fins were more curved, and the annoying cuts in the cowl cheeks were gone, this would probably be the perfect "early years" Batman.

It takes away from the mysterious image he's trying to project: the simpler he looks, the more amazing his feats seem. He's looking for the "How does he do that??" reaction from criminals, and the more complicated his look, the more obvious he's just a guy in a high-tech suit. That's why I despise the _Dark Knight_ Bale/Nolan and _Arkham_ game series suits.

Bcoz of the Aquaman movie, I start to follow DCEU. And want to collect all the action figures for sure. (More to movie compare with comics version) I collect Mafex line more, and then Mattel multiverse.. reason I choose mafex, bcoz they produces Aquaman and Mera DCEU amazingly. Although the Mera action figures still delay production. Unfortunately Mcfarlane is 7” figures.. Anyway.. Hope this channels keep grow bigger and bigger! Keep it up!! God bless you, Brad! I don’t know if people would be interested, but it would be cool to see a Batman Hush evolution / comparison video. With the DC Direct versions, the mcfarlanes, Mafex’s and the small page punchers and retro figure.

Nice figure. Still too much cape for my taste though. That scratch on his face is a bummer, but I could fix that with some paint. The thing that would drive me crazy is that darker left knee. You can't really do anything about that. I wonder if it's a common problem with this figure?
The black and grey is infinitely better than the blue simply because the black hides so many sins.. Like the poor stitching on the cape for example. This black and grey version is definitely amongst my favorite Batman action figures. The definitive comic book bats for sure. I also prefer the material used on the black cape, it feels better in hand and because they fixed the cowl situation it's 90% more manageable. Top figure though, and great review as always. 💚🔥🌈👍

I think something wrong with the base / stand. Photo on the box shows Batman standing straight on the stand.. but none of the reviewer can post it in the same way..

I've never bought a figure from mafex so can you give me some direction? Do they restock their figures at all and if so how soon? I had the exact same idea, to use the TMNT Batman’s cape. Unfortunately at this point that figure is very expensive. The stock cape on the blue one really does damn near ruin the figure. Trying to pose this figure is a constant battle against the cape.
Hello. I really want the Mezco Joker so I can have batman be ticked off at him and beat him up. It would be cool If Batman fought the Punisher. Good cape swap choice. I hope Mafex does a Tim Drake Robin, a killer croc, Ras Al Ghul, and a Lois Lane too. I want a lot of action figures from this line but the ones above I just listed are the essentials. Lois Lane wasn't a huge part of the story but as far as I remember we have not gotten a comic version of Lois Lane that is actually highly articulated. Or Alfred Pennyworth either. I wish that Mafex would either make a Jim Lee style batmobile or like a batmobile cave on that two page spread of Hush. That was an awesome comic. I wish they would have a Frank Quitely batman and superman style action figure line. As well as a Jim Lee style superman unchained action figure line too. It would be amazing if they made a Marvel chris samnee style, Frank Miller style, Alex maleev style action figure line. It. would never need any other daredevil action figures. Awesome review Brad.
I feel you! The thing with the price .. the shipping costs and then the figure is not perfect. I live in Germany and have to order most things from the USA or from China / Japan. feels bad bringt.

looks like you switched out the cape on the mafex dark knight returns batman. could you demonstrate how you did that? is the plastic part of the cape relatively easy to remove?
There are HUNDREDS of different Batman figures. I'm perfectly satisfied with Sovereign Batman. Superman is a lot more rare and nearly impossible to find.
Anyone having a problem where the back wires in the cape is not attached attached to the body? That is on mine, and just want to see if other’s have the same problem
Not the best paint or figure... But overall as a complete package it's probably one of the most functional and impressive batman figures ever released.
Man, after seeing this, I can't wait to see what Mafex will do with a Hush-Inspired Nightwing.

No QC issues? That thing is a mess. From the terrible paint to the bad flashing on the mold lines. Good sculpt though.

The cape is tucked underneath the neck so you need to pull off the neck to take the cape off which is also glued on there

Sovereign from Mezco? Good stuff I have the PX ascending, sovereign and supreme. The blue sure makes them pop on display.
