They went to into the forest to hunt. With less stress they saw an elephant which they all shoot at. They all were happy and make jest of the chief priests. They said must they always ask for things? Must they ask for sacrifices?
The Chief Priests you see asking fir propitiations are doing that for your own purpose. All they ask you to provide would be prepared and give to people to consume and if not the consumables they use them for atonement at strategic places. The moment people consumes these things the moment your prayers are answered
These people truly hunted down an elephant. They returned back home joyfully with the elephant in their hands. Esu asked the IFA priests if the people of Iperin make propitiations they replied no. Esu said they dsred God they dared him. They wanted to know what God can do.
On their way coming home, Esu makde them see an hive of crickets. These crickets are so many that they got tempted by it. They dropped the elephant so they could kill as many crickets as they could. They all dip their hands in the hive of these crickets. Instead of them bring out crickets it was dnske that bit them instead.
Everyone of them durd there including the elephant. Could they now take home the elephant? The greediness IFA warned them against now killed them.
This is the case of many who has with them something big but because of greediness,little thing will destroy it. Imagine people with elephant got tempted by ordinary crickets. Must they be greedy to that level? What meat and nutrients does cricket have compared to an elephant.
That is greediness. Greed is bad. What IFA preaches is here contempt. We should be contemptuous. We should be contempted with what we have and any position we found ourselves. Do not bring to yourself what you cannot handle.
Be satisfied with what you have. Persevere and obey Ifa's words and perform divination. Their failure to make propitiations caused their death. Obey and make propitiations. Sacrifice is better than your disobedience. You that make propitiation will surely obey.
Take fir instance, someone who was warned against marrying a fair complexion woman,you have to make propitiation so they won't come your way but if you fail to make necessary propitiations fair complexioned ladies will surely come your way and you will have no other option than to marry one.
Had it been they make propitiation Esu would never let them see that hive of crickets. When you obey and make no propitiation what them is yhebuse of your obedience. He who make propitiation will surely obey. Propitiation will lead and guide you from making mistakes. Don't be wiser than your maker
. God's plans are different from ours. The more reason we must move with those who arevast in knowledge.
Let us always make propitiations after divinition. If you refused to perform divination and atonement your creator will work against you. Those who appease their creator are always backed by their Creator. You can never obey if you did not appease your creator because your creator will work against you.
Those who think they are wise and they will do things through their mesns will only fail
Everything about this life is all about sacrifices. Sacrifices over turn ill fortunes to a positive fortune. When the phone battery is empty,the moment you plug in your charger it will come up again because you have given the phone it's sacrifice
You were told to make propitiations so you will not be implicated. You resorted to being careful instead of the propitiation you are decieving yourself. If you like hide yourself I door for years if you will be implicated,it will surely happen. Best is to make propitiation so the implications will be averted
