    Yes indeed!👏
And I feel that Jesus in telling the disciples that this does not come out except through prayer and fasting, He's referring to their relationship with God. Since through prayer, they get connected to God, and through fasting they disconnect from the world(and hence more alert spiritually and able to act effectively; 2 cor 10:4)
Also truly the disciples must have believed for them to try and help the boy receive healing, but it clearly wasn't enough. So, the unbelief Jesus is speaking of in this case may be their lack of capacity to do as a result of them not having truly believed(as according to Faith, through God's word) So what am getting here, is that when we prayerfully read God's Word, meditate and act on it, when we pray and fast, we are actually building our capacity to be effective spiritually (and alive in the Spirit) and hence able achieve physical results from that which is unseen(Faith). Hebrews11:1- Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen...
But then how do we become disciples of Christ? In John 8:31-32, Jesus tells the Jews who have believed in Him - "...If you abide in My Word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
