They sure stack neatly, I used to razz Elvis when he had his stacked on his bench, I figured it would collapse one day in the middle of a video. Looks like yours are on a footer pony wall...no worries there!
👍 help with keeping inventory, ya know what ya got at a quick look, i have several styles of ingots from different sources, but all the ingots i made from WW are marked as such
@cwlongshot that is exactly why I do it. My old RCBS mold became my height adjusted mold rest. I hate the stupid little metal swivel bar they provided on this pot but for 50 bucks this melting pot rocks.
I have angle iron molds they hold a little less than 2 pounds each. I melt in a Lyman 10 lb pot and ladle the lead (COWW) into the ingots. I've wondered about heating the ingot molds but never done that. How hot do the molds need to be, I would guess 350 F or more.
The exact temperature is really as close to the temp of the melted lead. The hotter the better because this way when you pour the lead in the mold it doesn’t cool before it’s full. The colder the ingots the more layering bands you will see in the ingots itself.
@@nycreloader Thanks, I have noticed those bands anthought my pouring was inconsistent, that is not it. I am going to drag out my hotplate and heat those molds before using them.

Thank You Sir! This is an efficient process with two molds. Do you place a different mold upside down under the pot spout?
