    This album makes me feel I am in a city fueled by corruption and driven mad by an ever growing greed, insatiable lust for power and tainted by dark desires. The lines between man and machine have blurred; people with robotic limbs and augments are commonplace. People sacrificing their humanity to gain access to abilities that human kind never thought possible, bodies that never age, limbs that can crush whatever is unfortunate enough to be within their grasp, minds that process information so fast that learning becomes an addiction for some. It is in this dark city, that reality is no longer a consistent entity, fantasy, delusion and nightmares become real and run rampant and are fueled by deceit that is the wool people put over their eyes willingly or by force. Criminals enhanced by artificial limbs rein terror in the physical world while hackers with brain implants run wild in the digital realm, police are left unable to defend or protect themselves, let alone the citizens they swore to serve. In this world there is only one absolute truth that has spread through the world, machines were the syringe that allowed the infection of the world; but the it was the darkness within ourselves that was the disease that ravaged society, culminating to the world of Evil Technology.

      No prob. For real, I've been into this genre for quite some time, well (like many of us) since Nightcall by Kavinsky was realeased. I listen to this kind of music mostly when I'm at work (like now for instance) and great majority of tracks is "nice" but not much more than just background music for codding and stuff. This however is different. When I've heard first few minutes of this album, I've paused it and told myself "I'll check it in home, on a proper stereo system, there is more to it", the wery same feeling I had with Perturbators' Dangerous Days (a little bit different subgenre). There was! Superb piece of work! Now I'm off to bandcamp. Keep up the good work :)

      AxelPLasg I truly appreciate the time you spent on this comment to share your thoughts with me.
      An artist need feedback like this, it's always to good to hear that you inspire other people, that you make people have a good time while listening... This was my main goal from day one.
      I'm looking for people reactions, I'm looking for the perfect formula to inspire creative people, I want to create something that can group people to discuss about it and make them socialize, I basically want compose music.
      Read all those comments and reply as well it's the less I can do man.
      Thanks for your time and feedback once again.

    I'm gonna go ahead and say that this is the best album. I like the 80's "technology" whatever. I don't know what I'm trying to describe. I like the cool beats the songs in this one have. 0:38 is a bad ass beat. Gives me goosebumps. I also like the parts in a couple of songs where the music will pause and then all of the sudden go beast mode. Example: 6:43 I think there's moments like that in the Chrome Death Soundtrack too. I don't exactly have to tune to every song down... Yet!

      That sounds great! That album reminds me of a Vincent Price horror movie! I love the sounds of retro-horror. Dance With The Dead got me hooked on NewRetroWave , which lead me to Trevor Something, Com Truise, and your own bandcamp site :) .

    • @WarriorOfChristICXC
      @WarriorOfChristICXC 9 років тому

      ims0deranged When uploading to UA-cam, it compresses the audio, which lowers the sound quality. On Bandcamp, they host the pure MP3's, FLAC's, whatever, which is why listening on Bandcamp mostly sounds better compared to UA-cam.

    Some of the sounds would be fitting for an 80's styled Sci-Fi film, maybe like an apocalyptic world. Just subscribed as well because you have some talent and i love the music, keep up the great work :D.

      Retro Boof I write my music based on stories that I create in my mind. Every single track in this project was built from an image created in my brain translated into music, following a main theme and story.
      If you visit vhsglitch.bandcamp.com and you check Evil Technology description you will see that as you said everything it's based in a Sci-Fi script :D
      Thanks for your feedback.

    Great stuff here--music has a way of triggering memories and detailed feelings associated with them for me and while listening to this I had images of several NES and old school arcade games flashing in front of me--Ninja Gaiden, Gradius, Shatterhand, Crystalis, Section Z, Blaster Master. I actually FELT like I was back there again, not just remembering. Its like my whole frame of mind was sent back and I was even seeing, smelling, and "feeling" those old times.

    Well this certainly stands out from the rest! Good work. Love the changes in style that still don't break continuity. Also there's a castlevania vibe to it which makes me unable not to absolutely fucking goddamn love this. Only criticism i have is not in the music itself: the pictures from the video are awful, and don't look 80's at all. It's like some modern art deconstruction bullshit. Other than that, pure epicness.
