    I Love You my Friend. IT was a Great Year. I enjoy watching you race and talk about the Hobby.... With this Holiday i am going to get a Tamyia TT-02 kit. It is all i can afford at the time. And the New RC Journy will begin. I love my RC crawler Truck WPL c24-1 but i want to RALLY :) Bring it into my Community. The hobby store near me has indoor track for the buggies. I think its carpet with jumps. HE just moved the store an track to bigger location. Maybe i can get more people to Race. Plus i am almost 53 and need the exercise. Walking slow behind my crawler isn't enough. hehehehe. Much Love my Friend. Might get to Order it next weekend.

    I also had to realize that electronics are very important. I'm currently using the Sanwa MT5 with a Ruddog FH5 receiver as my remote control, and a SkyRC Torro TS120 in conjunction with a Hobbywing G3 10.5T brushless motor as my ESC. The servo is currently a RêveD RS-ST, but I will switch back to a Savöx. For the batteries I use Intellect LiHV 2S Shorty, so i can play a bit with the weight distribution.

      @dariorcgarage  Місяць тому

      Yeah about the electronics it's good to buy it once good "and keep it for years ".
      About the servo choose the faster one you have, around 0.050 should be ideal in my opinion

    Locking forward to see a video about organising a rally and setting up a track. As I have mentioned before, I am planning to race at least one race in Poland upcoming season. Life just got in the way this year.
    I hope to be able to set up a small serie here in Sweden, and a dream would to be Abel to have a “real” world rally championship for Rc 😎 one race in Sweden, one in Poland, one in Spain and so on

    It would also be interesting to know, what remote you are using and maybe a view in the setup of it. For example Gyro yes or no, power curve of the throttle or are you using a ABS funktion for the brakes, etc.

    I think that the Carten T410 Rally might be a good choice as an entry-level option. Compared to Tamiya, it is cheaper. For the price of just the chassis of the XV02, you can buy the T410 along with a reasonable servo, brushed motor, and a radio system like Radiolink - perfect for someone who wants to start. It will take a long time before a beginner feels that their skills have outgrown this setup and starts noticing the differences in things like shock or diff oil types. At the same time, this setup spares us from unnecessary complexity in adjustments. What I mean is that upgrades for the TT02 would end up costing more than the T410.

      Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
      That chassis it's around from many years, and several different companies apply their name on it reselling it, sometimes changing some details.
      For that price I would go for a XV-01, nowadays you can find it for the same price of the carten and you get something that it's proven to be competitive in Rc Rally

    • @sakura85ch
      @sakura85ch Місяць тому

      The Carten is cheaper than the XV-02, but when it comes to steering it is clearly inferior to the XV-02 and also a TT-01/02. In tight special stages with lots of tight corners and hairpin bends you lose a lot of time.

    • @weect0r
      @weect0r Місяць тому

      steering angle is much better in carten t410 rally than in TT02. I have both. To increase TT02 angle you have to change some parts. But in similar way you can "tuning" carten by grind some parts.
      Out of the box in carten you have very good quality parts. Some parts are metal. Off course you can impres that XV01 prove something. But i think that It because of very comon spare parts and tuning tutorials.
      I wouldn't say whitch construction is the best because in fact noone from the top using 100% stock setup.

    Do you think the XV01 is or could be a perfect tarmac chassis? I love the Chanel 🎉 Go live it will be fun for you and us 😊

    • @dariorcgarage
      @dariorcgarage  Місяць тому

      Hard to say "perfect" but in general XV-01 it's an amazing chassis in both conditions, on and off road. If I have to say something, It suffers a bit slippery conditions exiting the corners. But in general I really like it :) I used it for 3 Rc Rally season 21-22-23

    Great video!
    I have a question. Im using savox low profile black edition servo because tamiya xv 02 pro needs it. Now i made homemade aluminium top deck so i can use any servo
    Are low profile servos worse in performance than normal ones?

    • @dariorcgarage
      @dariorcgarage  Місяць тому

      @@Šimodelar thanks!
      I'm not sure at 100% about it but for now I was not able to find a low profile as fast as the current servo that I'm using now.
