I spoke to Ian in London a few years ago. He asked me what I’d done in my life. He was most interested in the fact that I’d read philosophy at Cambridge. Politely, he said that he would have loved to have done that. I thanked him and I replied by saying given the choice, I would much prefer to be the lead singer of The Cult (my favourite band of all time and have had the great privilege of attending over 75 of their gigs over the years). We then gave each other a very big hug.

Great interview.. just saw The Cult for the first time in a few years, they never ever disappoint. They’ve never gotten stale… incredible Rock N’ Roll band, Ian for me, is right up there with Freddie Mercury, a natural and powerful soul communicator 🙏

The catch 22 is that he is such a huge part of his own subculture, that bands,artists, humanitarians, the eco-concious, and the cultural and spiritual seekers, study him.
