Hmm... regarding that updates are sent every change... is this potentially causing issues with the world management server (I was going to say ICE, but I don't think that's what they're called)? I mean, it'd be neat to have text effects other than static color, but just raising an eyebrow on that.

I'm not quite sure if I understand. It shouldn't be causing much issues - it's just anytime something changes, update is transmitted.
