Shame on the devs for releasing a PCVR that is so ugly. Clearly targeted for Quest native. Awakening has low poly and textures and it’s an overall mess.
If you’re having issues check out my Quest 3 best PCVR settings video. ua-cam.com/video/WZhdtK8fzjQ/v-deo.htmlsi=0UdOaFRvAmqolLOI Also in steamVR make sure to turn off motion smoothing.
@@commiedog425 considering that VR is expensive and creates a price barrier for a lot of gamers along with the commonality of motion sickness, I see no reason for my objection to be wrong. If i were a game studio, I would want my product to be available to as large an audience as possible both for the sales profit along with the popularity of the product. VR exclusives are a direct contradiction of that goal. and since gaming is a business, it seems to be counter intuitive to good business as well. but you're welcome to explain how i'm wrong.
@@FilledWithChi11 i don't disagree with this point. the VR catalogue is underwhelming. My position is simply that making games in non VR franchises as VR exclusive releases makes no sense from both a logical and a business perspective. but again, i do agree with your point that VR needs more good games in its catalogue, and I don't disagree that Metro would be a positive addition to that. It's the exclusivity of such titles being made VR, the issues of which i addressed in my other comment, that I have contention with.
@@Taylor-vz4ot you do realize exclusives are like a core staple to the gaming industry, right? Plus VR is now cheaper than some consoles so idk what you're referring to. If you don't wanna play it you don't have to but that doesn't mean devs shouldn't make passion projects because VR games sure as hell aren't being made for cash.
How are y’all feeling about Metro Awakening? If you don’t mind leave a like on the video for the algorithm! Thanks 🙏
most of the shadows are backed in as well. Im also not a fan of floating hands. But its still a good game
man i hope valve works on a follow up index.
@@Nightwolf11700 I think they are waiting for technology to get significantly better like micro OLED or something before they do anything.
Its nothing like the quality of half life alyx, its good but it aint even close to alyx.
Well yes not as good of course but it feels similar to it with the floating hands and movement style

Would you rather NOT have a pcvr version at all?
I mean I wouldn’t say it’s ugly the game still looks good but I rather they release a PCVR version than not.
@@Luna.Tricksteryes I would rather not have a PCVr version. It’s deceitful and gives PCVR a bad name.

wish they'd stop making VR exclusives for franchises that weren't VR to begin with. at the very least release non VR editions.
It's okay to have wrong opinions
We have 3 separate metro games in flat and I’m pretty sure they are making a 4th. VR needs good games and metro is perfect.
