beck's bit about the pizza man at the door in the beginning was all improv, cecily posted some bts and said there was supposed to be a doorbell sound but it didn't ring so beck ad libbed on the fly...i love this insane man
They were careful when writing this sketch to not make fun of the situation, but the people that did it. It was the only right way to do it without being controversial.
I disagree. I think the situation itself is plenty ridiculous. That said... While I disagree with the people who did it, and think the way it happened was ridiculous... America was founded on the right to rebel against a government, if we believe our rights are threatened. Some of the very first American Legislations were about giving American citizens the right to (essentially) commit treason. We have the right to rebel. We have the right to own weapons (originally intended to allow citizens to fight back against government oppression). The government isn't allowed to take away our guns, because then we wouldn't have a way to fight if we needed to. We even have the right to form militias to basically wage war against the government. I know that all may sound like a crazy conspiracy theory, but that's just historical fact. The founding fathers had to fight against an oppressive government, and when they built this country, they gave us the right to do the same if we felt it necessary. The only stipulation is that while we are allowed to fight against the government, we are only allowed to fight the government so that we can protect and retain our "natural rights", and as such, we aren't allowed to take actions which would infringe upon the rights of our fellow man. The civil war was a perfect example of us putting those rights to use. All in all, that is why I have a serious problem with the government whenever they put down a peaceful protest, no matter how ridiculous the protest may be. We have the right to protest as an ARMED MILITIA. As such, peaceful protests are WELL within the rights of the protesters, no matter what. Even during a pandemic. After all, would you rather they protest peacefully, or would you prefer they all grab their weapons and exercise the full extent of their rights? Sorry for the rant.
@@Mr.Fulton I agree with most of that, although I don't think there's a need for so many assault rifles. However, Jan 6th wasn't a peaceful protest. It was a violent insurrection which killed several people including cops, and its intent was to prevent the lawful transfer of power following a free and far election.
@@ontheruntonowhere And as I said, that is "technically" a recognized right for US citizens. VIOLENT protests are technically a recognized right. That's the right to form a militia.
@@Mr.Fulton I disagree. It wasn't the government oppressing the insurrectionists, it was the majority of citizens who were performing the one action which keeps the US from becoming a tyranny, namely, participating in a peaceful election to determine their next leader. Sure, you can protest that by waving silly signs and shouting stupid slogans, but not with deadly violence with the goal of preventing the transfer of power. Those people were not a militia. They were a mob.

“May I quickly put on some face paint” lol.
"No time. The firing squad is right outside, waiting."
Krasinski takes his podium with him 😂
*Pelosi's
It was a lectern you savage! :P
I’m so happy Aidy’s in sketches again!
Yes, Cecily, too!
@Me We I didn't realize that it was because she was busy filming her other show
"Sketches? Bitch I have my own show on Hulu" -Aidy to Eddie Murphy
@@Plaspos lol I remember that 😂
Me too !!!!!! SO talented !!!!!!
Anyone else notice Beck Bennett improvised when the doorbell didn’t ring?
I think Krasinski improvised in response to him too
I am starting to think no one actually ordered the pizza.
Funniest comment yet!
Love how close Beck was to breaking all the way through this, and everyone's lines ("Oh my god Brad, why would you do that!?") just pushing him closer to breaking
They fixed the shot! Live when Cecily said "Not sweet racist Angela!" it just showed Kyle and Heidi sitting on the couch.
Oh
They used the taped one, probably.
Huh?
Aaah, so that explains why the sketch wasn’t funny...
@@serenatsukino999 There is someone who edits the videos before uploading to UA-cam, they used the other camera footage to fix it. They messed up live so they edit and put the good version here
Bowen yelling “no” to Cecily and John made my day.🤣
On the photo with Cecily there should've been that picture of Bernie Sanders that everyone is putting on other photos.
Which picture?
Bernie chilling in a foldable metal chair at Joe Bidens inauguration
Damn! Missed opportunity. That would have been perfect.
The capitol tiddy photo was January the 6th... that Bernie Sanders inauguration mitten thing hadn't happened yet.
@@wildmercuryfilms that won’t happen! Those are peaceful.

I don’t know why I thought this was going to be a funny safe game night sketch
“Tell my story” 😂😂😂☠️
Who lives who died who tells your story
But I'm a state Senator! It would be funny if it weren't almost true. Derrick Evans was a state congressman.
0:25 Did someone miss their cue to knock on the door or play the doorbell? What did Beck hear outside -footsteps? LOL
beck's bit about the pizza man at the door in the beginning was all improv, cecily posted some bts and said there was supposed to be a doorbell sound but it didn't ring so beck ad libbed on the fly...i love this insane man
They were careful when writing this sketch to not make fun of the situation, but the people that did it.
@@Mr.Fulton DONT BE SORRY. JUST PRAY WE DONT BECOME COMPLETELY DISTROYED.
I'd like to Thank snl/producers,etc. for putting these up asap,it still reminds me of when i would stay home on sat nights in the 70s Just to stay up and watch SNL!!🤗
This episode was really good. First time I could actully watch the whole way through.
2:37 Bowen Yang is the greatest thing to ever happen to SNL.
Really? I mean, he is okay I guess...average I would say. I just don't see how anyone would think he is the best SNL cast member ever.
Heidi was great in the ending of the sketch! Super funny
I love how you can _hear_ the quotes around "Southern heritage."
They forgot to do Elizabeth from Knoxville, TN. : why’re u here? “We r storming the capitol. It’s a revolution”
Sweet angry Brad.
That's me, too! Hilarious.
SNL doesn’t have time to skewer all that needs skewering in America. We’re skewered.
Fasented together?
We need another companion sketch show (like MADtv, In Living Color, or Fridays) to pick up the slack.

"Also let me grab my coat at first(sic)"
" Not Sweet racist Angela"
"I'm a real patriot, not like this bubble of cucks"
