Has a 4K monitor controller, 1 set of speakers, and doesn't even know how to use that talkback mic SMH

Amd those monitors are 10K a pair! 😮

Having multiple sets of monitors next to each other is dumb anyway. The monitor controller is overkill though.

@imhaydenmelrose no, it's not..... you don't listen to them both at the same time.... 😆

@@BigBrotherMotown I’m well aware of how they’re used… They are still pointless.
First: One set of monitors will be in a sub-optimal position relative to the listener. This causes issues I shouldn’t have to explain, but if I do, Googles a good guy.
Second: If you have a single set of monitors properly set up, you shouldn’t need a second set. The first set should provide you with an adequate amount of clear and accurate information.
If you need to check a mix, check it on speakers elsewhere. Check it in the car. Check it on your phone. A second set of monitors isn’t necessary when you have a proper set of monitors in a well treated listening environment. Learn a single set of monitors like the back of your hand.

@imhaydenmelrose all that trying to sound UBER educated on the subject...🤣 First, any REAL producer would never tell another person what's useless or not in their own studio....Secondly if you knew as much as you PRETEND to know while bloviating nonsense....you would KNOW that most people with multiple monitors primarily mix on ONE set. The other set is there simply for an alternative reference or for casual listening, so BOTH sets don't need to be "optimally positioned" only the ONE used for mixing.
You sound either very YOUNG or very inexperienced....maybe you should google the word HUMILITY.

If I were you, I would stand the monitors up better.
the way they are standing, you're definitely losing some of the sound, because they're too far apart and angled too tightly!😉
the distance from your ear to the monitor should be the same distance as the monitors are apart (i.e. mid-range to mid-range).
I can guarantee that they'll sound about 20-30% better! if they're in a perfect isosceles triangle!😉
and if you want to improve the low end, the isoacoustics pads for under the monitor will do the trick. They really do a lot! 😉🙏

    • @axel8grease

With all due respect bro, its much more complicated than that. Without more info its impossible to say if you are correct or not, every room has different problems and challenges. And lol acoustic pads will surely fix the bass right up huh? Any room just get pads and you have perfect low end? Much more to it than that brother

      @@axel8grease hmmm...
my goodness, there are certain acoustic rules that should be followed in every room.
every monitor only sounds as good as the room!
if the monitors are not positioned at the right distance and angle to the sweet spot, you will lose a lot of sound quality...
if you think that you can absorb low end with a 10-20cm studio panel, you are wrong. The panels where it is used have an effect from around 120hz onwards, anything below that doesn't have much of an impact.
It will definitely have ups and downs in the frequency range in the lower low end area.
To absorb the low end, you need mass, which means at least 40-60cm of insulation! 😉
When I see that it already has a solid front on the left side and almost certainly a wooden construction with plasterboard (I can't say whether it still has insulation in it,
I'm not a clairvoyant! 😂) it will definitely have less bass on the left monitor than on the right monitor! So it distorts the sound image to one side! Symmetry is crucial. In order to make it seem right, there are two ways to turn the room by 90°, so I would put the monitor with the solid front at the front. so at least in terms of the materials in the room it has better symmetry and more length in the room, that definitely has an effect on the bass, so that it will sound better and can develop better.
then number 2 the arrangement of the monitors in an equilateral triangle!😉 every professional recording studio pays close attention to this! there is a reason for this. optimal sweet spot!
the iso acoustics pucks are good for the end coupling of the monitors, which gives you a crisper low end and more present mids!😉
I think the whole thing is called physics and experience broh!😂.
if you pay attention to this you will get 20-30% better results..

@@mosermichael4404 What you are saying is good general advice following acoustic theory. However, I disagree with following that for EVERY room. There are absolutely rooms where you have to balance the sweet spot of your monitors with frequency response, which would end up violating GENERAL principles. More information is needed, such as experiencing the room first hand and getting calibrated measurements. Monitor distance and angle also vary from monitor to monitor, and some monitors have a larger sweet spot. PMC advertises the monitors used in this video as having a wide and forgiving sweet spot. Check out the collab series with Acoustics Insider and Music City Acoustics. You will see the nuances in monitor positioning. Also, in that collab they don't use isoacoustic pads. Why? Because the monitor stands they use are many time more expensive and better than just iso pads for decoupling the speakers. Again, my whole point here is you are saying "follow this advice in every room for guaranteed better acoustics" when that is simply not true. It is decent general advice, but more information is needed.

@@axel8grease I'm sure I agree with you to a certain extent...
every room is different, but when it comes to materials in a room like glass, which has very strong reflections and 0 absorption, and a wooden construction with Rigis panels on top, you already have completely different absorption. From the left to the right monitor. That's just a fact.
And for your information, I know these monitors very well, because I use them in my studio myself and have used them at many different angles and with different stands. With and without iso pucks!
Believe me, if you pay attention to the equilateral triangle with the PMC 6.2, it will definitely improve its potential considerably!😉 I'm not just saying that for nothing! The voices get massively better! The sound is brutally in your face. The voice then really comes from the middle! And the stereo image is then really mind blowing! we don't need to talk about the low end, it's just brutal with the PmC 6.2!😂💥👊🙃
but if you move the monitor a few centimeters (even millimeters) the sound image breaks down pretty quickly... also with the PMC!😉 yes they have a wide sound image but only if they are positioned correctly!
my sweet spot is 138 cm from tweeter to tweeter (the tweeters are on the outside and the basses on the inside), not like his!😉
and the sweet spot is also set at 138 cm both monitors also have exactly the same alignment and distance from the side walls and the back wall! accurate to 0.2 cm!
but you can hear the difference too!🤗
      if that's all true!!👌
I just think it's a shame when you have such good monitors and don't set them up perfectly...
