    The way you're coiling your rope introduces twist in because you're going in one direction. Check out the over under coiling method or learn how to butterfly coil like rock climbing guys do. These methods prevent the rope twisting and make it muck easier to deploy tangle free.

    Exactly the way we roll our 5/8 arborplex. we also give it a lil twist it helps it lay right. We also started using the bags and its made it alot easier for the ground guys. The rope can be buried in branches at the base of the tree and not get tangled makes it nice. Thanks Billy

    nice, I'm used to coiling long line from working on stone crab boats, but I always like seeing things done smartly - not swinging the arms out and getting tired counts for a lot. each action adds up at the end of the day. thanks for another fun video

    Unbelievable how effective this process is! For more years than I like to remember (most of which I can't) I've done the old throw your shoulder way out and by the time I'd get to the end of a long extension cord or a 200' 1/2 rope, shoulder is on fire. I've tried this process twice and how simple and easy. Uncoiled without a hitch. Work smart, not harder! Thanks Buckin'!

  • @RobertSzasz
    @RobertSzasz 7 років тому +1

    I'm used to coiling up cables and ropes that really like to twist up (data and A/V, performance sailing) flaking out the rope to start so there is no twist, and then alternating the twist as you bring it into coils is the easiest way to store ropes for easy deployment. (your way will leave it wanting to knot up if you just drop the coil on the ground and pull one end)

    Buckin, a thought goes through my mind. This thought, I wonder how it would be workin on a job with you. I'm a new subscriber, watched a few of your videos that popped up from following August Hunicke. I'm a full time plumber, been climbing and falling for about 20 years though. I'm 100% self taught have never worked in the industry for anyone else. So little things like this help me along! I always kept all of my ropes in individual buckets, but that takes up a lot of space. I always had a 3/4" 200 ft rig line that was too big for any bucket! I just now coiled that big bastard up like you said and it works great! Pretty good size rope though, sad to say my arms are still tired! LOL!! keep em comin!
