David, at 2:08 Akio begins the head of Chick Corea's "Spain". You are correct that he does use the Aranjuez concerto for the prelude. It's highly clear that the melody and in particular the harmony at this 2:08 diverges from diatonic to typical Jazz harmony, and in particular the written changes to "Spain". Cheers

If you are not familiar with Corea's "Spain", please use UA-cam's search for Jack Thammarat's verison of Spain with Fran Merante. It is very closely arranged to the original version but in the present style as opposed to the 80's when it became popular with Al Jarreau
