ChatGPT is like playing with your little brother who makes his own rules every time he’s losing
man i love coming back to this video because it’s like a race between a random guy who’s walking the whole time and usain bolt, but whenever usain bolt almost finishes the goal post moves
I love how despite gpt being able to fabricate pieces into existence, it still blundered it's king to a pawn
Nah that's a brilliant move
I love how ChatGPT was up a pawn without ever even taking a pawn. Masterful

" In this position, ChatGPT plays the move: *pawn* "
the greatest chess quote of all time
I think it's most impressive that ChatGPT taught Stockfish the only way to end this madness was to make an illegal move itself. It's turned to the dark side.
Lmaoo 🤣🤣🤣
Lucky for Stockfish it had an old Calvin n Hobbs comic book and flipt to the page that said.... they lie I lie but changed that to they cheat I cheat
Lmaooo I didn't notice that lol
which illegal move?
@@Cheejyg pawn takes king is illegal

I definitely didn't expect stockfish to actually capture the king
Yeah I’m surprised it was coded to capture kings
Ikr lol
@@luminescentgem7254 i think it’s just programmed to capture a piece if it’s free, there’s no better option and it doesn’t make the position worse. And they didn’t bother to make an exception for a king, because… I mean…

@@retribusion In street chess you take the king or cite your opponent for an illegal move, both winning. In regular chess, you cite your opponent for an illegal move and accept your opponent's gracious congratulations. Or you can just move their king back and say "Nice try!"
I'm wondering whether ChatGPT conceded or played on.
ChatGPT was the one kid on the playground who makes up all the rules as it plays and Stockfish is the friend who’s too nice to call the bullshit.
And then the friend who's too nice and follows all the rules still ends up winning

It's almost poetic that Stockfish's e4 pawn sat there the whole game only to take the king.

This match is exactly what it's like to play chess with a 5 year old. They don't quite get it, but you treat every move like a legal move because they're having fun.
Or... Hear me out... maybe the AI is so gud it thinks this game is beneath them. Maybe they're just making a joke as an aware person.... (nah you right, lol)
LOL soooo relatable
Not 5 year olds anymore, 5 year olds nowadays can almost become GMs...
It's fun but I try not to do that often because I'm trying to make my young nephew(2 years old) a prodigy as fast as possible.

Chat gtp really took "always look for checks" to a whole new level
Instead of you looking for opportunities to check, checks look for opportunities to you
ChatGPT: *Dimension bending king to D5*
Stockfish: *That's a blunder, you are loosing material that way.*

The eval bar is my heart rate while laughing throughout the entire game😭
Stockfish: That's not possible.
ChatGPT: Darling you have no idea what's possible.
*Proceeds* *to* *destroy* *king.*
Stockfish was very acceptant though, he was like "fine, I still think it’s winning" or "damn how am I gonna get out of this?"
The video title is so misleading. Would you say somebody "beat" Magnes Carlsen if they played a bunch of illegal moves, including taking their own pieces and not moving on some turns? No, it's playing a different game. It isn't genius, it's like a child who doesn't understand or respect the rules.

It’s actually quite simple, Stockfish was playing chess and ChatGPT was playing Yu-Gi-Oh
I was about to say that this could make for an insane episode of the Yu-Gi-Oh anime. When in doubt, Time Wizard!

We need to teach ChatGPT to promote their pawns to become kings
YESSSS😂
Also we need to teach ChatGPT to promote his King to a Queen
Wait..hear me out.......if chatgpt was white in this game...The first move would be queen takes king checkmate
Also his king into a pawn
No. Absolutely not.
Not without teaching it diagonal castling first.
I was crying watching this. This is like everyone's thought of "oh dam, I wish I had a queen there" ChatGPT " well, let's just place one there then? Easy game"
7:45 "damn bro you just blundered a knight, if only you had your queen to protect it"
"what do you mean?" *morphs white queen into black queen
"what the hell"
@Oprator that clip has nothing to do with chess. But I guess this video didn't either.
This is the most insane and funny chess video ever made
No longer relevant comment. I should have watched more before commenting...
I was crying too. That was one of the funniest things I've seen in a while. ChatGPT had like 12 pawns, multiple knights and rooks. The power to convert queens. Oh my.
The fact that ChatGPT could summon all of it’s pieces back into existence is terrifying.

That chess match was like a master vs a inter dimensional being which is a absolute idiot
And yet it still lost.
It's acting like a god damn anime villain

Im pretty sure it snapped pieces away and put new ones on the board while staring Stockfish in the eyes going, "What?"
@@constablemittens i mean, what could stockfish do, cry?
What is the point of chess anymore here, when Stockfish keeps playing, while Chatgpt does not follow the rules, so this game has no point anymore.

Stockfish: "I can defeat you with the rules."
ChatGPT: "What rules?"
This game felt like poetry. Two godlike beings clash over the world. One uses chaos and randomness, the other order. The chaotic god messes with the rules, using a broken and random sense of false logic, while the order god follows the rules and carefully plans ahead. In the end, the chaotic god falls by his own hand, as randomness eventually worked against him
