- The Arctic King 8,000 BTU (12,000 BTU Ashrae) seems like a really good deal and the looks and functionality are superb. Unfortunately, my unit is really buzzy. The sound is from the compressor. Either it is defective or it was mishandled, I do not know. Opinions welcome, I think it is going back. walmart.com $375.00.
