There's nothing wrong with this kind of work. I'm from a relatively rich West European country with high living standards and I've done production work myself! Just because a job is production/factory work doesn't automatically make it bad work.

Why is everyone acting like a $30-50 charm is expensive and for the wealthy? Cartier, Tiffany’s and Bvlgari are expensive, not pandora. The average person can afford pandora, whereas they can not afford a $5,000 gold Cartier bracelet. I guess it’s all about perspective.
@@Eiramilah I don’t think that the silver used is pure silver, there might be 50-70% alloy in it, so that it lowers the cost. Even an ounce of silver costs around 20-30 dollars, while an average bracelet is a few grams.
i have a pandora bead that i found outsid my locker a year ago. it was just a small bead that someone had dropped, but apparently it had real silver on it. it was really cool.
Makes you overlook the fact the charms are mass produced. The amount of effort that goes into each bead is incredible and of course the final product is beautiful and in ways far more meaningful than diamonds from Tiffany's
Most people playing the "mass-production card" doesn't realize the bread/muffin they eat every day was been made in the same way, and the working condition for a baker (in western country) is worse, at least these pandora's workers have a seat and paid well comparing with other local labours in Ti. So why you still eat muffin/bread then think you are in place to accuse the company like Pandora? Work is work.

Actual artisans making jewelry one by one are individuals working for their own designs or clients, but everyone knows Pandora is a mass-produced jeweler. So if Pandora tried to show a video of some European wielder crafting one by one, it wouldn't make sense compared to showing us the reality that these are made in a factory with Asian workers

There is a lot of work put into this jewelry and I’m very impressed by their work. Even though these workers might not get paid enough and companies sell for a high price, I have to politely disagree with the people that are saying that u should stop buying from these companies that don’t pay workers enough. If people stop buying from the companies, they can run out of business and these people will lose their jobs. I say that people who want these products/can afford these products should buy them regardless. Trying to “teach the company a lesson” isn’t going to make the price go down really. If anything, they will lay people off and overwork them. That’s just the way things are. And when people from first world countries look at these hard workers, we see abuse but in actuality, they tend to be more content, more grateful, and happier than people from first world countries because they know what they have and grateful for what they have. We live in luxury and should be thankful for what we have. If u want to see a company’s price go down, it’s best to convince from inside the company rather than “going on strike” on their products. Hopefully my opinion makes sense lol :D

The conveyor belt line is called an assembly line and it means work is done quicker but you pay less as the honour have to have 1 skill or do 1 specific thing and it then gets moved on to the other person. (I had to know this for an exam I recently did so sorry if it's not 100% correct or clear but that's the gist of it)
It's nice to see a video go through most of the steps. I'm curious what the "plating" at 4:49 does, given that the video says they start with pure gold and pure silver, though I don't think the jewelry is actually 24k or .999 silver. Is it gold plated over silver? Or silver plated over a base metal? Etc.

I'm curious what the "plating" at 4:49 does, given that the video says they start with pure gold and pure silver, though I don't think the jewelry is actually 24k or .999 silver. Is it gold plated over silver? Or silver plated over a base metal? Etc.
