tbh i really was wondering why there aren't more pro teams using Yoru, since he's an agent that can create a lot of confusion, especially if paired with the right agents, like a well played Sova or Fade. Nice to see him being picked. Thanks for the analysis!
@@shaicry i think that's true mostly for movement and entering site, but i feel like Yoru's kit helps in even more scenarios. i don't think any of them is superior, but they kinda serve different purposes. and now thinking back about what i just said, the gatecrash, if timed correctly with a flash and the rest of the team entering, can make a huge impact
Because acting unpredictable makes you more predictable. Yoru does set plays and it only takes time till you run out of it and reusing it will be predictable for your foes.
probably because yoru takes a lot of mind games to work and very hard to make plays with, like teets said, its either ur play looks flashy or you look like a fool
I was today years old when i learned defenders dont hear you take the rope without shifting..... A minor detail that you could've avoided but still included, you earned that like, even if it's just a video to showcase my main finally having some proplay i still got to learn something new!
Honestly props for the amazing production value on these videos. The reproduction of the scenarios in a custom lobby really helps understanding the gameplay and just adds that layer of thought and care to the video.
Tbh I have never thought a Valorant pro match could have this level of analysys but you proved me wrong. Thanks to this type of analysis I have been more interested in watching more pro matches. Props to you!
FNC players were having a Good day. They were really hesitant to push sites but their players aims were on point. FNC mostly won by 4ks 3ks by one player. NAVI were doing strats hard but their players were not able to aim lol except Zaypan
I think another aspect of that game is they didn't really use Fade. They used Breach (They were trying to go for a Flash Heavy Comp) and the Jett (probably to Op). The comp just didn't synergize that well as Fade/Omen does with Yoru.
Your like the only valorant youtuber who sponsor I will sit through because you make them INTERESTING which I love and also yoru meta? I wouldn't hate it tbh
man, valorant pro-play is so interesting with all the crazy different strats teams always seem to find, always switching up the agents. I wish overwatch could be like this.
Wdym, this switching things also happened rarely in Valorant , most of the time pro team only play established meta. This far in my gaming career, the only competitive online game that have alot of interesting strats in my opinion is moba games. Thanks to large amount of characters pool and ban pick system its created a unique comp almost everytime on a turney settings. Maybe one day, when Valorant already have so much characters they will start to implement ban and pick system too.
Its not just Yoru, this whole comp is insane. You just dont see Fades and Omens that often in pro play, so you know nothing about the plays they can make - when you face a weird comp like that, you have to adjust realllly fast. And imagine this isnt their 'main' comp. Other teams have to learn 2 playbooks from Navi on Fracture. And they might have to gamble pick agents to counter one playbook- but this would leave them vulnerble to the other playbook. This meta strat is literally a Yoru Clone.
So nice seeing more teams giving yoru another shot, I think fade/omen are perfect pairings with yoru because of the deafening, it really enables him and makes things run so much smoother.
yoru is (imo) the most flexible duelist in the game; can start with the team to help site hits then tp for the late lurk or flank watch, can initiate the team hit with ultimate or flash+tp or creative popflashes, can play mind games and force enemy to invest util/time, can hold/take space better than jett (again imo), has a pseudo-updraft (clone+tp), and has the most versatile flash in the game its a shame to see not much yoru in vct (the main example i usually think of is prx v g2 on bind); the only thing holding him back is his high skill cap
Thanks for the content Teets. I'm happy to see cNed is able to flex duelist, such a top tier player. Watching de NRG strategy about avoding aspas it reminds me the strategy of avoid cNed from 100T, there is an idea for another video xD
I'm hoping for someone in the future vct finally unlocking yoru's full potential and plays him like an actual trickster. His skill ceiling is so high, but when mastered, he can ruin an entire structured play. Hopefully there will be a vct pro in the future who will play him like how red, ziptie, or rob plays him, actually causing misinformation and paranoia to the enemies, but at pro level.
I like how navi involve yoru in the strategy. but what cNed lacks I think is more yoru techs. like he doesn't use his flash in different ways. he just kinda sends his clone before ulting, when cloning before going out of his ult is still strong. Also it looks like cNed is still not use to yoru's flash. yoru's flash is actually very strong but they are just hard to master, if you throw it in front of the enemy. it might go way past them and just half-blinds them. so his flash also takes time to master. but overall I like the idea of tp-ing behind a viper wall and stuff like that.
The thing i like most about yoru flash as a yoru main is it can also be used as misinformation in certain situations with the fact that enemies can only see the flash once it bounces. Ive won so many 1v1s or clutch situations by throwing a flash to bounce off a wall at a different angle to make enemies think that you're there and get tunnel visioned. Yoru's kit is so amazing but it really takes time to master them. I just wish that a vct pro will soon be able to play yoru at his utmost effectiveness and show how powerful he is when played right.
@@hatto yeah. if navi, ange1 and cned take their time to learn yoru to use his full potential instead of just having decoy and tp for plays. it would be so entertaining to watch. Also even teets made a wrong statement about yoru op'ing. he said Yoru can hide in the corner and tp out after an OP kill but that's too slow. the right way to get out of it is to jump sideways, turn around and look down and TP at the same. time
Check out more of my content at Skillcapped using my link: www.skill-capped.com/valorant/pricing/plans#teets I got the Team Secret + DRX upset in the works ;) stay tuned
Thanks for the video. Me and my friends decided to make a video similar to your pre-earthquake video :(. I like the quality of your video. You showed the teams' tactics in tournaments correctly. You know that BBL is a Turkish Valorant Team. The team actually has talented players in the teams. But I think BBL has a communication problem , so Yoru meta is not enough for any other team that is better than BBL.
There is a Brazilian called xarola, he is the most watched yoru in the world and probably the best, he knows the best techniques, comps and combos for each map, one of them is yoru + Op on pearl to cancel the setup of two controllers, I would really like teams to use more than yoru
The only reason this works is because they are running a comp with 2 controllers and a Cypher to completely play around the Yoru. On top of that, a lot of the things the are doing you can also easily do with Neon or Jett, but self-sufficient and way easier. Besides, it is NaVi against BBL, which should never have been a remotely close match. NaVi was just doing their classic cooking since they are just better.
2:24 i always tell my teammates to only hold shift at the start and end of the zip and they keep getting mad at me for not shifting when i know it can't be heard
You don’t have to crouch on the under zip? Holy crap my life is a lie. Also, I love this way of playing Yoru. Often seen as more of a self sufficient solo queue fragger, playing around his kit very seriously is awesome.
Honestly, that Yoru's retake kill on A at 14:55 could've been easily avoided if these pro players would simply stop jumping and switching to knife at ANY point, not just when it's necessary to shift as fast as possible I've seen them die so many times because of this obsession of keeping tips of the fingers on edge, but average players always pick up the worst practices from these matches
Huh, i just realised. Not only their ult is a nightmare when used in a combo, they also somehow a counter part of each others. While Yoru is the one who used mind game gameplay wise, Fade is the one who use mind games lore wise. Another thing... so you tell me that FNC rope ace againts PRX is all for nothing?
I think while Yoru is a really interesting agent, he relies so much on instilling a lack of confidence that he just isn't viable in T1 play. Like these players are literally the 1% of the 1%, a majority of Yoru strats aren't going to work on them.
This Videos thumbnail actually got me thinking. That would be so mother fucking Cool if yoru's gameplay and mechanics really felt like he could come from any angle. Like Think about it if you could really rift walk why would you just teleport normally? Why wouldnt you come out of the ground, out of walls, or the ceiling? i know that shit would be a balancing nightmare, but it would be fucking awesome.
just sayinnggggg... you DO have to shift on the rope on fracture. i know because i played that map 20mins ago and i heard 3 of them when i was in defender spawn. also depends how your audio is setup. you can hear almost everything in this game, you can shoot through 95% of all the walls and remember kids... DONT PLAY SOLO, play with a team8 to trade with.

it’s bc jett is too strong, i think yoru would be more than viable and picked if they slightly nerfed jett or slightly buffed yoru somehow
