Astra h vxr Sri gsi eBay toyosports fmic intercooler unboxing

Ebay toyosports fmic to fit mk4 gsi for my mk5 astra Sri 2.0 turbo
this is not a direct fit you need few extra bits to make it fit,extra alloy hose & silicone hose and map sensor extension.but fits on crash bar and fits right where the middle bottom grill goes so nice good cold air feed I only got this one because it looks better and it looked better suited than a vxr one as vxr ones you have to do a air con delete as they are different size and don't fit that well
Looks to be pretty solid very well made and for £180 can't really complain pipe work is nice and shiny all the bits up to top hat if you have enlarged top hat you will need a reduced silicon hose to 51mm as all the pipe work to fmic is 51mm
Extra
51mm silicon hose around 300mm
Turbo to intercooler hose "I used a forge one for the vxr"
or small 51mm alloy hose joiner for intercooler to turbo hose
I will upload a video of it once fitted and progress when I'm fitting it to let you now how it fits up and if it works

Honestly mate nothing cheap about them,the welds and quality is great but there are other ones that fit better with less messing around bro

@@TunedVXR did you have to drill any holes for your intercooler to fit on or did it fit straight on just trying to get an idea of how it will fit with no brackets on the intercooler

Yea just drill up into the front crash bar and some minor trimming to inside of bumper. Can't notice it once it's all on and looks stealth 👌🏻. I used vxr "turbo to intercooler" pipe but you may not need to just a heads up

Kieran Allison not really mate does sound better it just helps the car with cooler intake temperatures,so it doesn't overheat and melt engine parts like piatons ect and helps with heat soak so don't get so much power loss when running on hot days it does make a massive difference cooling wise but not a lot power wise unless set up with remap

How is the iat with this fmic and is it enough for 300 HP setup?

Bahadır Topçugil it is ok for my set up, I'm at 293bhp and it's fine.where are you from ? If your in a hot country it'll probably run a bit hotter than usual, because air flow is restricted through the grills. I installed a fan bypass switch so I turn the cooling fan on when I want in the summer but throughout the rest of the year its perfect

Nice I love Turkey beautiful country 🙏 I use a ob2 scanner with the torque app on my phone, and I constantly watch the coolant and intake temp. when I drive it i always got it popping and banging from the exhaust racing around town 😉 and it never goes above 96 on temperature gauge,but I turn the fans on to keep it as close to 90 degrees. it runs at about 89 degrees with fan on. check out the obd scanners on eBay they are amazing for £5 it's a life saver lol

UK is nice too, 1996 I went to Weymouth for a language school. I ask for intake Air temperature with toyo fmic. I use obd scanner and torquepro too

It's vry nice place weymouth and I went Turkey in 2007😊 it was amazing,I'm not sure of intercooler temp but my intake temp is around 30/34℃ in weather around 25℃ in not sure if that's filter intake or throttle body intake I will check to see if I can find out for you 👌
