wow. this edit was so good and it also made me realize the parallel between the machine esther put him in and his death and how similar they probably felt to him. i also noticed how he's a bit of a faster runner than charles and i wonder if they made that choice because he had spent over 70 years running in hell. but this edit was just perfectly made with the song choice
I'm glad you like it!! And yeah there's no way he wasn't flashing back and forth in between the two while Esther was torturing him.
Also I'd made the connection about how fast he runs recently too!! You just know that mr brawn himself Charles probably teased Edwin at some point about how fast he runs and Edwin just didn't respond or brushed it off, and Charles didn't get it until he rescued Edwin from hell and probably felt horrible about all the little quips he'd made over the decades
This is so beautiful editing made me realize the similarities between what Ester did and what the boys did at school.

Thank you!! It's such a small moment but I try to time movement in clips to the beat like that when I can if for no other reason than my own satisfaction
WOAH this is epic!! You never realize how tense and horrfying a lot of the themes of the show are until you take out the funny quips and upbeat tone some of the scenes try to have (not all, obviously)
But this is genuinely really good! One of my favorite edits I've seen so far :D
Oh yeah, Dead Boy Detectives definitely can be a heavy show at points, I mostly just tried to capture that intensity and tension of Edwin's journey specifically. I'm really glad you liked the final product though!!!!

Once i heard it was 2wei i knew it was gonna be epic and damn i love this video! really shows Edwin's indomitable spirit!
He was always getting knocked down or knocked around, but he always got back up and just kept running. Running from hell, running from Death.
Esther herself even figured it out: Edwin is one of the strongest spirits out there!

There's no way that being strapped down to a table and feeling unimaginable pain which Esther herself directly linked to his time in hell didn't make Edwin flashback to his sacrifice 😭 And thank you! I'm still very new to using text in edits so it's very much an in-progress part of my editing skills
