I really like the original Giorgio Beverly Hills for Men. I come across this one online every once in a while, but another reviewer I also trust crapped all over it. For the price, I think I'll grab it and take my chances. Great job as always Dave 👍👍
Thanks buddy! Always appreciate your support! Yeah, I considered the original GBH for men one of the best cheapies out there. Strangely enough I always think of it as a light tobacco frag and I really like it in the cold weather. I do believe sometimes different formulations/water-down plays a part in the difference of opinions.
This is the first review of a Giorgio of Beverly Hills I've seen. Now I'm curious about the original version, since you mentioned it was one of the best cheap fragrances out there. Maybe you could do a review on that one someday? 😊
The Red starts out real intense and crazy, and then basically settles down to be exactly like Giorgio Beverly Hills. It's very good for the price! Both frags made by Eliz Arden now I believe. Peace.
I just think it's funny. When Giorgio Red and Giorgio for men, Giorgio Beverly Hills came out you could only get them at the Giorgio Beverly Hills Boutique in Beverly Hill or at high end department stores. And the same is true for Calvin Klein, Elizabeth Taylor's Passion and White Dimond and many many others. Back in those days it sold for around $45.00 to $50.00 dollars which was a lot of money in the 80s and early 90s. Now they are Cheapies, Rack store fragrances and other derogatory terms, Out Dated, OLD MAN scents and the like. And the truth is, it's just all marketing, in 20 years or so all they will need to do is repackage, rebrand raise the price call it some fancy sounding name and voila a NEW high end Designer fragrance at $300.00 a bottle. And people will be Oohing and Awing all over them selves for the new scent.
My SOTD...old school, warming,vintage classy bottle...cheapie gold
Mr S, do you mind sharing if your bottle is more recent or vintage? Wondering if recent bottles are still any good.
@@fragranceinstinct Pretty sure its recent and although I haven't sniffed the vintage this is good
Btw I subscribed. You did a great review. TY I have only tried the newer Eliz Arden version. Sadly never tried original.
