Jimmy Horn dropped an easy swing pass that should have gone for a touchdown. This Colorado team is undisciplined and foolish. They got away with the win because of the opponent. This won't work against the good teams on their schedule.

Their unwillingness to commit to establishing the run is also an issue. The defense was not terrible. Their lack of discipline just kept them on the field longer than needed. That said, the offense could not control the clock as they refused to run the ball. Time of possession was almost 2:1, just like all the games CU lost last year.

North Dakota state beat 7 of the last 7 FCS schools they've played. Before the game everyone commended North Dakota for their grit and said this game wasn't going to be easy. Now that the game wasn't easy like they said now they gotta move the goal post and say that colorado is cooked. Pump your brakes. It was a good game.

NDSU lost their top defensive player due to injury and maybe best defensive player in FCS Cole Wisnieski who had 8 int last year. He would have made a big difference and with how crazy good Hunter is they needed him. NDSU beats a lot of FBS teams and had a chance to win. Sanders and Hunter are definitely fun to watch and don’t see any teams shutting them down

This was an FCS opponent. Let's see how Colorado does against an FBS team with a winning record. They didn't beat one last year.
The offense and the pass blocking were the only bright spots. The defense was undisciplined and gave up numerous 3rd and distance plays. CU lost the time of possession by almost 2:1, just like last year, which is why they lost so many games (defense always gassed). CU ran the ball the first 4 plays of the game and then abandoned the run for quite some time. They need to work on establishing the run. The fact that their inability to run the ball and close out games has persisted into this year is inexcusable.

It's going to be a long year for Colorado if they could barely handle NDSU. Last year, the Bison were a really good team, but they were not the legendary mid 2010s Bison, and they were not a top class FCS team. I didn't watch the same game as a lot of these commenters apparently, because while the Colorado WRs were on point, Sanders is going to get eaten alive by good defense.

Colorado is being held together by swag and the media (ESPN). They’re only as good as the narrative says they are. I saw a struggling offensive line. The same defense we saw last year and their quarterback getting hit every other play. Colorado is not back no matter how much the commentators gush over them during a broadcast.
