Easy fix for broken cruise control on Ford Freestar 2005. In most cases problem caused by faulty pressure switch.

Cleaning pins & sockets does a lot of good to improve connection. But sometimes old dying things just must be put to rest when they are not up for the hard job anymore. Good job, thank you so much!

Did you say "it's a very hard place to get to"? Its right behind the air filter box. Super easy access, and fixed my van. Thanks for the upload!

I meant to get there with tester to make sure switch is good. And you're welcome.

After my mechanic looked at your video, he told that is not a fix and it would cost over $1,000 to replace the "module". I did not believed him, followed your steps and after $40.00, I am happy to report that the Cruise Control is working like a charm. Thank you for the video.
I have no experience in fixing cars, to the point that I had to rush to the store to get a 7/8 wrench.
To get to where I had to replace the switch, I had to remove or go around the air filer unit. Could you add another video on how to properly remove the air filter unit? Also, what type of oil is the one that drips and do we need to top it up?
    THANK YOU!

You have to be more specific, dripping from where? You regularly have to check levels of engine oil and fluids (coolant, brake, steering, transmission, washer). If something is leaking of course you have to add to keep at normal level

@@VasylGladun when you replace the switch, some liquid type of oil drips off until I put the new one in. Same as the one in your video and the reason why you put a towel under.
      Thanks!

That's brake fluid. Check that reservoir it has upper and lower marks, minimum and maximum. If your fluid is within those marks you're fine, but if below you need to add some. On top of the cap on that reservoir you can find what kind of fluid you need for your car

Be vary careful not to over tighten the sensor switch. I over tightened a replacement switch and ruined the Master Cylinder.

I have a 2007 Ford Free Star. I have a problem with the dashboard. The problem is that it turns off and turns on alone, and the driver's glass stops working as well, and the car engine is still working. Can you help me with information? Thank you

The first thing you could check is connectors. You could try Dielectric, sometimes referred to as tune-up grease, is a viscous non-conductive waterproof substance used to protect electrical connections from corrosion and dirt. It's only few bucks in Walmart
