Still kinda wholesome to see whenever Andrew and Steven cheers before taking the first bite.
I remember in the first season Andrew didnt wanna, just goes to show how their friendship evolved.
Awwwww. I was looking for a comment like this. I remember that too.
He also went from "this is why I can't go anywhere with you" to "this is why I love eating with you"
The character development in this show is unreal.
@@stupidron7108 And you can see them both looking so much older, a little bitter sweet.
Its also nice that they have become more of a balanced team. Like in the beginning Andrew felt like the cool quiet uncle who took Steven out for dinner, but Steven had the manners and personality of an 8 year old. I think a lot of the evolution came from Stevens breakup, like in the beginning he was always trying to impress or hang on to Steven, inserting the fact he had a girlfriend wherever he could to make us take him more serious. During the breakup you could see his personality muted and Andrew trying to cheer him up. Now it actually feels like two adult friends doing the show (except Steven for the love of god please stop talking with your mouth full, its really gross and just makes the whole point you are trying to make lost)
same here!! and i remembered how it was keith and steven. it was so depressing as keith acted as if he didn't want to be there
I really love that Adam is talking more, makes him feel like a bigger part of the group, and it's definitely nice to see him hit the spotlight more.
Pretty sure he is directing and producing. He is carrying.
He always got spotlight when he is eating last 😂
he doesn't talk because he's exhausted from carrying this show on his shoulders
The story of Saucy Chick is so wholesome and amazing. I love that it happened to them and they were able to find their real passion.
Thank you SO much, Robbie! 🥺
@@saucychickrotisserier7965 you guys are great.
The production value of this series has increased exponentially. This episode was impressive.
Andrew could write a book of quotes describing food. His metaphors are everything!!
This! As a writer, I really enjoy his commentary.
Yes! let this be happen!!
He's really, really good at it.
That would actually be a great coffee table book. Each page has a different high quality photo of the dish accompanied by an Andrew quote
Adjective andrew~~
My grandma is Nyonya. It can also be Indian+Chinese. She has handed me down her treasured recipes. Greetings from Penang.
In India , we actually have a cuisine called Indian Chinese or Desi Chinese , which was originated in Calcutta , where Chinese immigrants lived there and their cuisine spread all over. Some famous dishes include Gobi Manchurian , Chili chicken and Hakka Noodles.
Ayyy a fellow Malaysian
That combo sounds amazing!
Nyonya manis siapa yang punya?
@@-Viva-Cristo-Rey kuch bhi
Can I just say I've really enjoyed watching Steven and Andrew's relationship evolve. They seem to have genuinely become better friends and I'm heeeere for it
Remember when Andrew used to get annoyed by steven in the intros? And when he hated the "cheers" part? We came a long way.
@@takai8358 I do remember!!! thats what I mean I feel like they've really grown on each other and now appreciate each other's quirks hehe
$78 for a two-person meal isn’t even that expensive for dining out. Cool to see gourmet food at a not-insane price.
that must be in america, here in Spain for 40 bucks each u can alsmost go to 1 michelin star restaurant
In India U can feed 50 people meal
@@palanisiva6092 it's fine dining. In India too their are restuarants who charge a lot
It is expensive for a simple "shake'n' bake" chicken
@@palanisiva6092 Lol same in the Philippines. Heck! If you squeeze the budget a little it could be possible to feed 78 people.
This is such a good series, glad we're able to get more episodes
A Wild Patterrz makes an appearance, you really are the guy who comments on videos 🤣🤣🤣
I can't stress enough how happy I am that this series is back.
Such a comfort show while also being so informative
Thank god they separated from the cancer that is BuzzFeed videos UA-cam channel and now have their own channel
@@SP-ft4ir This channel is still owned by buzzfeed
The way Andrew just immediately caught on to that serving spoon and instinctively asked and used it the right way really shows how observing he really is.
it is actually a fishspoon..
15:25
Observant* Sorry :0
@@Daniel-fq9dl Wouldn't using "observing" be ill-suited to the intention of the writer? Since OP, is describing qualities of Andrew rather than narrating/summarizing his (Andrew's) actions.
I have two examples in this case:
1. Andrew is observing the environment around him.
2. Andrew is an observant man.
One sentence in terms of the intention of the writing, is to illustrate the person in action, vs. the second sentence is a description of Andrew's qualities. One can argue, the action such as "observing" something does not imply they are "observant".
And the fact that she knows they're 65 bucks a piece tells me she really wanted them specifically and appreciated him seeing them
the effort steven shows when he try to explain about 'Nyonya' culture in Malaysia. I love it.
Because his mom is Malaysian and his dad is Chinese I believe!
Shout out to that guy from the museum! I quite enjoyed that Chicken/Dino fact, and he seemed like a genuinely nice guy, having some fun with the boys. Awesome to see someone behind Worth It maybe trying to remind the younger generation that museums are still a thing, lol
All I could think was “I eat Dino eggs” lol 😂
Andrew getting defensive about his chicken carving skills was so adorable😅😂
"adam shut up i know how to carve a chicken!" 😂😂
Totally me 😂
“I AM SkiLLeD at the anatomy of a chicken”
Seeing "old friends" like Hilary back on Worth it is so heartwarming. Chefs who are still learning, innovating and thriving is just great. It also reminds me how long I've been a fan of this show and that too is nice.
Could not agree more, was excited to see an old colleague appear again. Time flies..!
I've said it before, but I'll say it again: I truly believe that Andrew has become, and will continue to grow as, one of the great food critics and journalists of our generation. The way he has completely immersed himself in this food journey and embodied the life of a chef and a traveler and an entertainer all at once is unlike anything we've seen from anybody of the same age demographic. I've loved seeing him -- along with the crew of worth it -- evolve and come into their own as a force of food coverage, but to me Andrew is the pinnacle of it all. His word choice, descriptions, humor, and demeanor take this show to another level
no because ... you're absolutely right, why isn't this comment getting more likes? 😭 you describe Andrew's eloquence so well!!
Calm yourself down, he's a foodtuber
I totally agree! Couldn’t have said it better.
😂😂, I love worth it but you need to relax in your praise is just s small you tube show..... you're taken it to another level.
Food critic must have experience in cuisine of different countries, probably study that. A nice small you tube show its not providing this depth in the matter 😁
Is a well made show, but a show.
@@captainharlock9852 over the course of the show, they've had tons of dishes from many, many different cuisines. and you don't have to do any formal studying to be a food critic
The saucy chicken restraunt high key has such an amazing idea of mixing two cuisines styles which both have alot spice and flavour🔥
Thank you so much! :)
i'm so delighted that you guys went to a museum and learned about dinosaurs for a chicken episode. and luis seems like such a fun person to learn from!
what I got from the museum visit is that if we breed chicken long enough the dino genes will pop eventually and not instantly but we can have dino pets
The museum was actually one of my favorite parts of this episode.
Yes he is so wholesome!!!
The blatantly honest "yes, that is good" from Andrew eating that burrito is so genuine lmao
You're so used to him coming up with extended metaphor that it's just funny to hear him be blunt.
10:30
His reaction got in our feels!! 🥺
These videos popped in my mind awhile back and I’m happy to find out they still doing these 🥲🥲🥲
same adam's beard is luscious
The lady at the end could honestly do a YT Cooking channel. Her voice speaking about food is so satisfying
The editing and production on this are so good, so much better than you would expect for a "people talk about food on UA-cam" video. Kudos to the whole crew. And Andrew's and Stephen's chemistry and respect they bring their hosts is just the best to watch.
So happy this series is back :)
kinda sad that since its gone from buzzfeed they dont get the same views/revenue from it
@@toad7395 I thought this channel is also owned by buzzfeed?
@@cfilorvyls457 no they left
Andrew's character development is literally one of the best things about this show!
He was really standoffish those first couple seasons.
"you can make me eat gold leaf covered truffles, but you can't make me like it".
wait what? i see no differences
Nerdiest thing I've read in a while. Thank you for your service.
He was a jerk at first. And also uncomfortable on film. He’s really learned into it.
@@SuperPtd he wasn't a jerk
The second place's chef made me feel less weird about getting 6 sauces on my subway sandwiches 😂 maybe it's just an Indian thing? Someone will be like "what sauce you want" and the answer is always just "yes"
Sauce is good
We should start our own members' club.
It's gotta be an Indian thing bc same 😂🤤
I always say “all except for the barbecue one” 😌
I’m Indian and I always say lots of chilli and mayo…like looots of chillis and jalapeño 😂 I like my sandwich spicy.
i like that their commentary isn't pretentious and their personalities are just normal, chill, and nice. no egos - just going around trying different food. good production quality without over-doing it and having 5 production guys following them around
12:52 Someone from the team made a whole butterflied chicken just to add seconds of footage in that scene, things like this shows how much they care and put their love into making these videos.
Is it from 3 ways using chicken? It's Alvin part if I am not wrong
its on Alvin Zhou's personal channel
This is definitely one of those I never want it to end shows…so pleasant to see the chemistry between the trio is strong as ever despite the long breaks between the last few seasons

Same for me… I’m rewatching it from time to time, right now it’s the first time I’m rewatching the latest season
What you said at 9:34 have always illuded me. In abroad, there is no distinction between food that is spicy and food that just has a lot of spice/masala in it. Obviously we have the distinction in our language but in English, you don't have two different words to describe the difference. I cannot stress it enough, food in South Asia, does not have to be spicy. In fact I hate too spicy food. But that doesn't mean we don't use spice/masala in our food. There are many spices which are used to only enhance flavor, not to to make it "spicier".
@@ThisBuddyLife we call Jhal in Bengali and Teekha in Hindi to describe spicy. While food with lots of spices are called Masaledar. Look up the meaning of these words in English. All of them will show spicy xD.
@@ThisBuddyLife yeah I get what you mean. Flavorful doesn't really describe anything. Spiced and savory seems pretty acceptable words but no one really uses them. It also drives me crazy when people just assume, Asian food to be extremely spicy.
I would say we use spicy for food that tastes hot but spiced for food that includes spice. E.g. gingerbread is spiced but not spicy
I've missed Worth It so much and I'm so happy to see more episodes are being made, happy to support all of you guys here with this show and on your other channels too!! ❤
Mexican + South Asian = amazing!!! i 100% want to try that place. I've always maintained that more fusion cuisine from those two cultures NEEDS to exist!!
Thank you!! 💚
Seriously! Two really delicious cuisines joining forces
Zeera, not Jeera
@@JimNortonsAlcoholism iirc, Gujratis say Jeera. It's just a difference in dialect, neither is wrong.
imagine the spice level
9:34 Andrew nailed my issue with the word spicy being used to describe hot (as in peppery) food when spices don't necessarily make the food hot!
Yes, I've always been irked by that, too!
*pain*
As european ive allways tought this way, its hot not spicy.
if I'm not wrong this is an American thing; to my knowledge spicy refers to actually hot-tasting and not when the food has spices
@@arlentan No, they're saying "spicy" should be for when the food has spices because spicy also refers to hot-tasting food in America. They're saying it because it's not an American thing at all.
I missed this series so much. This makes me want to be better at my cooking techniques/creativity. Good to have you guys back!

I'm a little saddened that the answer to Andrew's question isn't answered in the comment section yet. Hahaha; guess it's time to hit up google.

A cool little thing I love about this episode is that the Pabil paste has been seen on Worth It before in the taco episode. They had it in its traditional pork form at the second place shown in that episode.
So happy to see this team back together and see how they've grown! I love the end-of-episode location - also featured in the sauce episode! There's something very cozy about the setting, the shot of the coffee being poured into the cup, and watching Andrew and Steven debrief together at the table. Same idea as when they'd recap in a parking lot with a melting frozen treat, but somehow more grounded, more comfortable :)
Andrew is like a Father telling each and everything about chicken to his son 😂. He is so information-rich guy. 👌
